That's pretty presumptuous on her behalf. She must be speaking about herself. My family would never accept me dating someone who doesn't have something going on for himself. I think most people's families, black or not, would feel the same. In my opinion, most of the men in my family date outside of our race and the reasons I hear is because of the stigma society has pushed on black women. For instance, my brother said he didn't want to have fully black children because of colorism and he feels like a mixed child would have a better chance. That's what he told me. On the other hand, I know his and my cousins very first sexual experiences in middle or high school was with a Caucasian girl. I'm dealing with that again with my own son. Wow. I didn't know that. I will look that up. Honestly I never really had an issue with interracial marriage marriage at all. @@perrykeshahwalker5321 It's not as common as other interracial combinations, and that may explain the low divorce rate, but it is a positive indicator for relationships. The very term of dating outside your race, is messed up! Especially if you live in any major city. Since we're talking black men dating outside, consider black men are about 7% of the US population, the remaining aprx 43% are non black women. There no great geographical or economical ( meaning no men, black or white care about a women's income) divide in the Western world, it would seem for that reason interracial relationships would be natural. Also from my personal experience, there is no danger, of mass homogenization, as if that were a danger. I realize this commentary is for black women concerning bad boys, but when the repeated conversation of black men and white women came up, l felt my comment might shed a different perspective, since essentially my household is full of black men and white women and everything in-between. Oh, by the way, my daughters ( four of them, l have ten kids) never chased the bad boy. They, when matured looked for personal character, not even professional security, and they got great husbands of high moral character. Thank you
