I've told so many people that Iron Fist from the comics is The Clone Wars show and Iron Fist from Netflix is The Clone Wars movie. I generally prefer the living weapon to the master of kung fu, but Shang Chi was so much better in live action than Iron Fist.

That would make for a better story with more layers in my personal opinion. I get that it’s not following the comics, but the MCU deviates from the source material all the time.

I love Iron Fist but the NF show just didn't land. I don't know if it was just the casting of Danny or the writing and direction he was given. It didn't help that opposite it was Into the Badlands with amazing fight choreo. But to me, that was what just wasn't working. All the cast was great. I'd like to see a return and a Heroes for Hire show would be perfect, but something needs to get fix. Still hoping for a Daughters of the Dragon too

Finn Jones is a fine actor - his work on Game of Thrones was really, really good. That said, he could have had more time to train in martial arts to be more believable (he did train for s2 but I don't think it was enough). I agree with Julius above, the show just needed better writing and dialogue. The show was otherwise just plain boring.

Marvel should do a lot of cameos of its various heroes and villains - a face in the crowd, someone else in the queue, and occasionally a cameo that interacts with the story instead of just coincidentally/unobtrusively being there. i.e. reinforce the idea that everybody is in the same universe, and that consequential interactions might happen at nearly any moment.

@@RedElm747 I would be shocked if they brought him back. I know people who worked on Iron Fist and Prodigal Son. They said he had a terrible work ethic. Never studied his lines, didn't practice choreography, and partied too much. Which all contributed to delays and cost overruns. On Prodigal Son, he was eventually removed before the pilot and replaced with Tom Payne.

I'm one those weirdos that loved the version of Iron Fist we got during the Netflix series. It was my 3rd favorite next to Daredevil & The Punisher. Its a shame that those actors won't be in the future of the MCU other than Charlie Cox. All 6 of those shows were better than the main MCU movies.

I think Finn Jones deserves another go at it. The Netflix shows weren't nearly as bad as people made them out to be. Sure, they weren't great, but they were okay and I think Finn Jones can really nail that character if given the right cast, crew, and writing.

The script and choreography and overall everything was bad… Finn I think doesn’t fit the role in terms of his ability to actually do the choreography or that he just looks weird when usually Danny has long flowing hair not curly hair. He has no distinct fighting style even though they’ve shown every hand to hand fighter in the mcu has a certain style to their fights. Danny is also usually clean shaved and actually is able to run his company really well and doesn’t struggle to understand what the word “business” means (really they fumbled on everything and Finn just got the shortest end of the stick fr) Edit: I realize my reply seems a little confusing but I’m saying I don’t think he actually fits the look of iron fist whatsoever and nothing about his acting or choreography ability adds to any reason for him to stay Danny Rand

I'm glad Jessica Hemwick didn't come back in Shang-chi as a different character. I like Collen Wing played by her she was great as her and I loved the chemistry between her and Danny/Finn so I wouldn't want her to return as her as someone else and replace what we know and saw.
