I love the backstory of Bast and Anasi being related, and yo the hands of bast is beast af. Something that is ment to kill the Pheonix (granted it may not be able to or at the very least we never saw it go toe to toe with it) I want more of that. Marvel really knows how to blend real life Religious lore with Comic Pantheon. Bast is based on an Egyptian Goddess named Bastet who was a woman, a lioness and later became a cat. She was the daughter of Re, the God of the sun. Bastet herself was knows as the "Goddess of the home, fertility and war" who protected her house from evil spirits and especially diseases that mainly targeted women and children. People still speculate wether her name translates into "Soul of Auset" (Auset is another name for ISIS"). Also debate wether Auset was her mother or if she was actually Auset herself.
