I show you how to fix a black screen issue on the Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition tablet. You have a black screen but you still know the tablet is on by any sounds. Do each step and if still no go then try each step again 5 or more times. 50% of you should have the tablet fixed by the end of this video. Let me know which step worked for you or combination steps. Everyone I tried this method 30x each before it finally worked. I have two children with autism and their tablets stopped working one month ago! @NightBlocky did you kinda bend it forward on the bottom? Not too much where it snaps buy enough to I guess get the screen to work. Also, make sure it’s charged. And you have to press the power button after the smacks.

Got an Amazon Fire 7 for $4 at a thrift store, convinced it was broken. Tried all the steps in the video and was ready to freeze it for 30 min but the slapping worked! (Or all the steps before that PLUS the slapping.) The key is making sure it's unplugged while slapping, THEN plugging back in (I tried first with it plugged in and didn't work.) Thrilled to have it working again. Thank you!!

The tapping "firm"! It was a replacement for my aggro daughter's kids version, and it did come a bit askew in the box. Some firm pressing and a feel a tiny click/pop! Fired right up and the Blippi is rolling! Thanks for the tips!

Whoever thought I would have to give my Kindle massages to keep it running? But this is the only thing that does work, thanks to your advice. It does get tiresome to have to do it repeatedly though. Mine will be fine for weeks, and then all of a sudden the gray screen! This never happened with my older Kindle. I found that putting it inside the case makes it worse.

I have three of these, one decided to stop working, but after trying the methods several times, removes the back cover, adjust the battery, and started the steps again and tapping with two fingers, it came on. Wow, it finally worked when I push down on the front and back. Thank you for keeping me sane, having the kids at home during this epidemic, I was hoping this would work so that they could work on ABC Mouse. Thank goodness it did!
