The fact that ppl can be “shocked” about the human condition affecting everyone regardless of skin color shows we are moving backwards recently

What I noticed in these conversations with these college students is that it's so easy for them to say something is racist but most of the time it's almost impossible for them to explain it or put it into context. .🤔🤔🤔🤔

I’ve dealt with more racism towards whyte people from black people than any other kind of racism. I have very rarely heard racism from white people.

Ive never understood the argument that theres more white people who are rich or in power, not just for the reason you mentioned, but i grew up poor, im living with family now, surviving due to it, and cant see why people dont understand how economic privilege is the problem and not race or any other trait they identify as. When you look at how its typically middle class people who are democrats you see that theyre more privileged than the common man, and for some reason want to be victimized to be relatable or something? Maybe theyre trying to fit in, idk but with all the rich people supporting democrat and the fact that theyve been trapping the poor in a constant state of poverty while prices rise due to many issues they cause you wonder if another party shift is occuring. Seeing as Trump is supporting the livability of the common man even seeing as how hes still not completely conservative hes pretty middle honestly, which i like, he takes a lot of good stances in the middle ground, but it still seems like we're switching again. On a completely different note, love Sam Richards and his empathy approach to sociology, that allows you to think critically and doubt baseless claims, letting you come up with not just a conclusion but possibilities and understanding. Wish I could go to Penn State to meet him but even if I went to college idk what i would go for, especially with ai coming up now, its hard to say i wouldnt get jipped and waste my gi bill.

Yass!!! It’s like people think just because you’re white you must have money. I’m white and grew up poor. I mean Medicaid, housing, taking half of my free school lunch home to my mom so she could eat type of poor. Being white hasn’t done anything for me at all. Hell I grew up in a predominantly black school, bullied by big black girls because I was a big white girl and even lived in an ALL black neighborhood where I was bullied and taken advantage of just for being white. And I’m not assuming that’s why, they said that’s why. I was a cracker and needed to get out of their hood. Even some school scholarships I couldn’t apply for because I was white. And if my ancestors did own a slave (which not all white people had slaves, I don’t know why people think that but they weren’t free, you had to BUY them) whatever wealth they had because of it hasn’t benefitted me at all, and 99% of white people in America have zero benefits now from slavery. Nothing we do today or in our lifetime will benefit our family 100 years from now unless you become a billionaire. Money comes and goes FAST! Black people today are still blaming white people today for what some white people that no one living today even knows, did to some black people (again that no one living today even knows) centuries ago and until we all accept that none of us had anything to do with it and aren’t benefiting from it, we’ll never move on.

The professor is a typical race baiting, white liberal who thinks his own race is oppressive! All he talks about is race and categories.. He obviously doesn’t believe in merit.. plus he blows off genetics like it’s nothing but genetics is huge when it comes to your “typical” intellect and success.. Genetics has so much to do with everything else yet he thinks it has nothing to do with intelligence and your brain? He’s a politically correct typical white liberal who

Look at their life goals. They seem to go after the lowest paying careers. Hard work, in many cases, will get you nowhere. I'm white and have busted my ass all my life in blue-collar jobs. I can't say my income has brought me success. I should have aimed higher, I definitely dropped the ball.

@@DRILL-SGT.HARTMAN Same here. I was told over and over and over as a kid, just work hard and you'll make it. I busted my ass, broke my body doing so, and 30 years later, I'm just as broke as ever. I was taught that working hard WAS working upward, but that was bullshit.

The teacher spoke about wealth creation and the vast majority has occurred in the last thirty years. Now look at the growth of the Hispanic population in the US in the last 30 years. You can’t be part of that wealth when you either weren’t here or you came in but had nothing in the first place. The population increase in this country of the Hispanic population has been poor people coming here for work. When they’re here and many of them illegal it means they can’t go to college, they can’t afford college, they don’t speak the language well, etc. so that leaves them to work the poorest jobs. Food processing plants, fields, landscaping, etc. You can’t generate a lot of wealth when you work low income jobs and are just making enough to stay alive.
