So yeah, people like KOL will never understand it, simply because the way he views it is just straight up wrong. People foregt that it was Yassop and Van Auagar that were squaring off in Marienford and I don't think I would here a single complaint if Yassop was to beat Cracker. For the Jean Bart anti-feat I explain that as marksman and swordsman are the same. A marksman should be able to shoot (or kill) what they want to shoot and Swordsman should be able to cut what they want to cut. While LAW can pierce others via his devil fruits with superficial stabs, he cannot sever or displace any user with haki that is stronger than Vergo's haki with such indirect.l methods, unless that other person is willing. Like how Luffy was willing to let law displace his body. He is limited with conductive attacks through his sword and direct physical attacks.. Its my belief that when he came in direct contact with blackbeard's darkness shroud, he momentarily lost the ability to displace himself as well, which would explain why he looked already stunned, despite the scene not continuing.

3.5 Blackbeard is too much of a tank and can dish out more damage. Without Yami Yami Blackbeard wouldn't suffer from its negative defensive capabilities. While he wouldn't be able to neutralize Law like he does dues to the Yami Yami he can still just outright kill Law with the damage from the Quake Quake. Remember Blackbeard captures and steals with his darkness fruit. He doesn't use that fruit to kill. He was always just a physical powerhouse. Remember he was able to almost break Ace's neck with two hits despite Ace also possessing monstrous strength. Law was fighting a losing battle and Blackbeard knew that. That's why he was excited to fight Law. He knew he was gonna have his way. It's just that Blackbeard is for sure going to take damage but he is for sure winning that fight.

Yes Teach would take less damage but he wouldn’t get stronger, we see Law match his power in the standoff. Probably not, but it’s a high/extreme diff fight based on the competitors

Law is going to cause some issues but again the reason BB took a lot of DMG is because he's a slow starter. He literally spent most of the fight talking shit while Law started off with awakening techniques from jump. Law usually fights conserving his energy and we know how much energy Law's awakening costs him so the fact Law started out with awakening despite not even seeing Blackbeard use his yami powers yet, heavily suggests that even Law himself realized that it would be an uphill battle. This is still all based on the condition of capture for Blackbeard rather than killing. There's nothing that would stop Blackbeard of just using his Quake fruit back to back to cause Law to be stunned and take heavy damage. In the manga, Blackbeard just wanted to capture Law so that he can blackmail Law for Law's DF abilities.

Yello Haki is specifically Luffy's that he learned in Wano, they're version. when it comes to van auger, you have to remember that bullets are made to penetrate things. Luffy is way more broken than he seems because he only uses blunt force attacks. blunt force is weaker than every form of fighting in the series. thats why swordsmen are so strong. they use the optimal attack style(slicing, piercing) to fight. even luffy was being penetrated by doffys strings during king kong gun in dressrosa. This doesnt mean much to me since its like using a bat on bulletproof glass vs a pointed glass breaker which is obviously smaller and weaker than a bat but focuses on the weakness of the glasses structure.

No. Law is not a conqueror nor is Blackbeard. They are more strategic than the are strong willed. Despite being part of the D. clan both Law and Blackbeard have shown to cower in the face of death. Conqueror's haki is a haki that only a select few of the chosen are born with. It is not a haki that can be acquired through training like Armament and Observation. Despite having stronger wills and being stronger than Don Chinjao, neither Blackbeard nor Law have Conqueror's because they simply weren't part of the chosen few born with it. This is just the animator's style to show the characters are using haki in this arc. In Wano they showed it in a different anime style. And in dressrosa it was different. We've seen it change so much. IDK why people keep getting surprised. They are amping their attacks with haki while also defending with haki when it is shown. Shanks was using conqueror's to intimidate Greenbull. Rayleigh was using conqueror's to intimidate Blackbeard...despite them both having red lightning effects. That's the difference.

My reasoning for that is that it is not the first time that a shonen manga/anime presented a type of power to be super rare, only for that power to become much more common as the series ends. In fact, even Zoro and Eustass Kid have conqueror’s haki, so I don’t see why Law and Blackbeard wouldn’t have it. They are both just as adamant about getting the One Piece as all the other who posses conqueror’s haki. Also, the will of D is not strictly related to conqueror’s haki, so a character being reluctant to die is not necessarily proof that he isn’t worthy of conqueror’s. Besides, I take this whole explained condition for conqueror’s haki with a grain of salt, because from what I have read on the wiki, the explanation about who are fit to have conqueror’s haki is more rumors in the OP universe than actual facts.

@@mineapple6726 Rayleigh specifically explained what Conqueror's haki is to Luffy. You misunderstood what I said. I'll try to explain the misunderstanding. I'm not saying Law and Blackbeard's fear of death is why they don't have Conqueror's haki. They simply weren't one of the chosen born with it. Their strategic approach, capitalizing on others lack of awareness as well as their fear of death are part of their nature. These traits are not traits of Conqueror's haki users. Conqueror's haki users use their will to dominate their opponent, and they do not cower. So I was using their personality traits as supporting evidence to the fact that Blackbeard nor Law were born with Conqueror's haki. They have been in many battles since youths to where their haki would bloom if that were the case. The reason why Rayleigh could walk up and intimidate Blackbeard is because Rayleigh does possess Conqueror's haki. If Blackbeard also possessed it, he would not get intimidated and instead there would have been a clash of wills. But since Blackbeard is more of a strategic mind he did the strategic thing and left. I.e. Doflamingo vs Luffy Conqueror's haki clash or Katakuri vs Luffy haki clash would have happened.
