There’s a lot of black success and excellence here. The suburbs of Desoto, Lancaster and Duncanville and even Oakcliff is full of Black middle and upper class folks. I’ve noticed the black population is booming here and you can even notice it in the suburbs. Over 1.3million blacks here. 10+ years ago, it was rare to find blacks in Collin county, now they’re one of the fastest growing populations in Collin county and by Raw numbers the fastest growing population in all of DFW only tied with Asians.

I live here and I think that number is kind of over inflated 1 million blacks. We only get close to that once you include fort Worth and since I've been living here, the locals will definitely let you know it's two separate cities and most of the blacks here live south of downtown.

Dallas has a population of 1.3 million people. When they say 1.3 million black people, they're including the whole DFW/North Texas area.

I live in Irving so I'm only 5 minutes away from Dallas. This particular city is meh. Dallas for me is the Orange County, CA of Texas for me, except no beaches, cheaper housing, and worse weather 😅😆.

Dallas ain’t Southwest that’s Southeast. Anybody from Dallas or Texas especially East Texas will tell u that’s the South. Southwest is NM and Phoenix
