Yea, I can totally relate. Grew up in Germany and lived in the UK for almost a decade. In Europe ppl tend to be pessimistic, they kind of elevated being depressed and cynical as a way of live. Sometimes the only human interaction is, when ppl have beef with each other and start fights for really minor reasons. Sometimes I feel the society in UK (Brexit) and Ger (Eastern German states will vote for the far right neo nazis the AFD this weekend) are broken. In contrast the chinese are very resilient and seem to be optimistic about the future.

If a person think me arrogant for nicely refusing their gift then it is on them...why should i imagine if women take things wrong? What makes their feelings any special than those of men? We can be ourselves, what others make of it is out if our control...we cant control what others want to think or feel. I stand by that. I was not raise to take people's gift just cus rhey are teying to be nice. I was raised to be able to say no when i dont need or eant it.
