Watching these again made me start SS14 again. Just had a 3hr and 20min shift on frontier station where I wound up as sec, settling a dispute about a stolen ship in the first few seconds and on top of it, taking on the duties of STC. Thankfully, the sheriff (a deputy that was promoted during the shift) paid all of us. But I kinda lost my mind. Had a blast.

I think I just had a very, very bad idea. What if there was a BattleTech game (similar to the HBS one) but the entire Argo crew consisted of SS13/14 players. And in order to keep the Argo working, these lunatics would have to actually do their jobs and not break anything. I mean, just imagine having to play as the company commander (doing all the stompy robut stuff) but with the knowledge that your ship could randomly explode at any moment.

30 minutes into the shift and cargo is still poor. ugh that hurts. bounties are the fast cash, can't just sell loose shit for profit anymore... well besides firelock circuit boards. pretty sure those are still 61 spessos per board and cost half a plastic and half a steel to make. issue on Goob is funneling the boards over since they've ruled you can't just build lathes to mass print and sell boards on the station sell plots... and given how there's no designated sell or buy area on this server it'd probably be better to elongate the conveyors anyway.

How often does the design of the station change? Sometimes you have enough room to pull the trade station over, other times you don't.

it's because these are recorded a long time ago, many many changes to the map, station anchors and such have been changed or added between releases.

dude didnt do one single bounty lmao... next time, put each doughnut (10 doughnuts bounty) on a crate, close the crate and apply the bounty paper on the crate closed. then sell it. you can use your price gun on the crate to see if the parameters of the bounty was complete to be sell.

I don't want to be an asshole about how people have their fun, but you really should take a few moments longer when you do things in general, at least when youre playing Command. Ramming salvagers mid expedition; selling a bounty for what I assume was ten donuts, when you only had six... These are easy things to adress.

nothing needs to be addressed 1: the salvagers where obviously in the way 2: who bothers to make sure you have the exact amount of donuts in the box when they clearly have other, more interesting things to do 3: (the most important thing) this is a game, people play games to have fun, you should try it sometime.

I see your points, but I still disagree 1: there was enough clearance to avoid bumping them; and even if there wasn't enough clearance, you are risking stranding people into space by doing this. It'd be better to radio in, to avoid an accident. 2: I can respect that you find completing bounties boring or uninteresting, but half-assing bounties serves no purpose at all. You'd be better off staying out of the way so more competent or engaged technicians can actually collect the remaining bounties; doing this is just making it more difficult for Cargo to get things done. 3: People play games to have fun, you, me and everyone does; which is why it's important to try to make it so your own fun isn't hindering other people's fun. This is why we have rules against power-gaming, valid hunting, round removal, and being required to roleplay as an intelligent being... Depending on the roleplay standard, that is. You are more than free to join a No RolePlay server with lenient or no rules and "play to have fun" without concerns for others, but the way most people choose to play involves a tiny bit of respect and care for others. I hope you understand. In short, 1: it's better not to ram them anyways. 2: go do something interesting instead of being a hindrance. 3: this is a game with rules and expectations that defend other people's fun.
