Ngl. The alien voicing is hilarious! The last guy was impressive. The polish and finishing touches he added made the game feel more completed. Maybe you could do a special double round development for a more complex style of game?

Those alien voices have a Hollow Knight feel- love it! We are definitely thinking of making a larger scale Pass the Game Challenge where devs have more time.

@@Blackthornprod Do you think you'd be able to gather enough people to make an actual gamejam out of this idea where people are randomly matched?
@morgan0 Жыл бұрын
yea that’s something i’ve suggested a few times, once thru for basic features, and then once thru again for polish, bug fixes, and other smaller changes. also would be neat to see something where you have people making assets without knowing what the game is and then they need to be repurposed (only minor changes) to be used in the game

I have an idea to expand on this project activity: A number of devs make a game without communication, but the game is cycled through the line of devs a second time. Meaning that each dev gets to work on the game 2 separate times Edit: Whoa! 100+ likes! Thanks everyone! Edit: and now at 300+ likes! Many thanks! First time a comment has gotten that many likes

There is a really interesting strategic move in this game. If you are about to be destroyed by another player, the correct move is often to throw yourself at an NPC enemy att the last second to deny the other players your money.

Awesome video, absolutely love these game dev challenges, they always lead to such amazing results. One thing I’ve noticed is because Noa tends to be near the beginning of the challenge, often the games art style have his signature look to them. They look really cool, but it would be really interesting to see Noa be placed towards the end of a challenge, and then have to adapt his style to someone else’s art. Could be a nice challenge/put you out your comfort zone. Awesome work though, keep producing this series I absolutely love it!

I love the little enemies you created initially. I don't have much skill when it comes to drawing, so I struggle when it comes to obtaining assets for a project. The game I plan to make will contain a lot of elements as in the one you made for THIS video. I'll be using Construct 2 as usual, and Photon for the first time, for the networking. I'd love any tips or advice for it, and if it's okay to use this video as inspiration, if I end up making said game?

I thought the game was gonna become something like using mi ey to get upgrades, I feel like a lot,of these games have timers. Timers restrict gameplay, they take a game that could be fun and last for awhile to something that is only going to be a min or two. The reason why a timer is usually added is because otherwise they will have to add more stuff to make the game more playable. Personally I feel like using a timer especially almost IN EVERY GAME makes everything feel repetitive. You can have a timer for round 1 or something, but then give everyone another chance to add stuff, or just more time in the first place then after round 2, you could have a simple timed game, and maybe something a bit more enticing.

I think coop is better. if you die you lose half money, then the end of each round lets you upgrade. (friendly fire is still up) The end goal is to kill the spawners (with a ridiculous amount of regen) and strengthens the less spawner is alive
