I remember way back before the mall took on a new look, there used to be a narrow lagoon with live ducks going down the middle of the corridor up to where Home Sense is now (formally John Wanamaker). There use to be little bridges that would cross over so people could get to stores on the other side of the corridor. I remember watching the ducks swim up and down and under the bridges. The mall was seriously alive back then!

Very pretty mall. Bright, clean and I'm a plant and fountain geek.

The fountains are relics of when the mall was far more architecturally interesting on the interior. You can Google historic photos of the Moorestown mall before the character was stripped away.

My ex used to live up in Cherry Hill and we went to Moorsetown Mall instead of Cherry Hill Mall because we liked it better. Was smaller, more "homey". This was 10 years ago and I haven't been there since (Live down south) but I'm glad it's doing well. Seems active even though it's losing some stores.

I read somewhere that Moorestown Mall is to Cherry Hill Mall what Concord Mall is to Christiana Mall.

That's a pretty good comparison I gotta say.

Those fountains are beauty, you really don't see those much in malls these days! I definitely remember one of my childhood malls having several before the remodeled it nearly a decade ago now, and I've heard even a mall that I've gone to forever apparently had a fountain or two!
@R32R383 жыл бұрын
I've heard that malls in bad shape often shut off fountains. It might be a good sign that this mall hasn't done so.

The fountain by Boscov's has been shut off all year.

Nice looking mall as usual. Seems okay for post-lockdown.

I am cautiously optimistic about the future of this mall. There look to be a lot of vacancies, which is concerning, but it also has some fairly strong tenants such as H&M, Boscov's, and Home Sense (which is part of TJMaxx if you didn't already know). Planet Fitness may not drive any traffic to the rest of the mall but it pays rent. Same for Orangetheory Fitness on a smaller scale. And then there are the still-operable fountains as I noted elsewhere, more national chains than local popups, some kiosks in use rather than being relegated to static displays, and what seems to be good cleaning and maintenance.

Nicely designed mall. While it has a number of filled spaces there does seem to be quite a few empty spaces. Let’s hope it prospers onec the pandemic is over and fills some of them. Oh and can’t forget the numerous skylights and the fountains. A nice touch.

Awesome video don’t know if you’ve been but for a dead mall go to the crossville outlet mall in crosseville Tennessee or for a massive busy mall go to opry mills mall in Nashville!

The future is looking more bright for this mall as they're getting a health facility, apartments, and a hotel soon.
@charleyhill98672 жыл бұрын
Their apartments include low income housing. You really want to see a mall crossed with low income apartments? Or any? Not me! I used to love this mall. I'll say it this sounds like a libtard left brained idea.

This mall is pretty concerning. The reason why I say that is because this mall has lost both Lord and Taylor and Sears. Now, they got Home Sense and Boscov’s as their 2 anchors. It’s another mall that I’m worried for.
@rl84293 жыл бұрын
The Sears is going to be replaced with a hospital soon. For now, the Lord and Taylor space is a vaccination center.
@spooktacularhauntswithcole31053 жыл бұрын
@@rl8429 I’m really hoping they can fit something in the lord and Taylor soon. As of right now since it is still a vaccination area, I don’t think they’ll have many plans, but I’m hoping they can move a higher end store into the place just like cherry hill did. It’s a beautiful looking department store that would most definitely attract guests. I’m thinking though that Nordstrom would be still a safe option since it’s so popular and a lot of people in moorestown have that bag!

Moorestown Mall isn’t going away anytime soon, it’s never been really packed and stores always seem to come and go, but it always been able to hold on. I there last weekend and Boscov was busy and the Yard House was packed as usual. It’s starting to pick back up again, but it take awhile to get back to pre pandemic numbers.
@spooktacularhauntswithcole31053 жыл бұрын
@@Jmmoffa I was there recently and things seem to be doing well to me also. I was in bocovs and it was packed. It wasn’t super busy since I went there on a Monday, however it had a reasonable occupancy still. I saw that one of their new stores is doing well, and that there is a new one moving in! The mall is seeming like it’s getting back onto its feet. I’m glad they were able to quickly make use for that Sears, and were able to make a plan for many houses and a hotel. The fire is looking good for the moorestown mall!!!

Ya the video is faster than I am watching the video of the mall I'm in but the good thing is you'll know exactly what's up ahead in the hall like if there's a fountain up ahead and it won't be a surprise and you can prepare for it by getting coins ready to throw in the fountain cause of watching the video of the mall your in right?
