Once at the store I watched a lady opening the berry packets and feeling the berries to make sure they weren’t over ripe. I watched her go through four packets and was so freaked out that I always wash my stuff no matter what

I have been binge watching your videos 😍 I love that the things you buy are not for a 72 ingredient meal! I also wash my veggies how you do with the vinegar. I just fill my sink up and pour it in and put all my fruits and veggies in there.

I use the Trader Joe's fruit and veggie wash. It's inexpensive and I feel like it cleans my produce pretty well!

Love your grocery hauls and meal ideas. I love rice cakes too. Peanut butter and sliced banana, yum.Have you tired the real thin ones with dark chocolate that Trader Joes sell? They are delicious but always sold out now.

i was wondering if Matt can give us some ideas for cold meals because my gf works as a electrition and have to make cold meals for her. ehhh lol
@BlairCooley3 жыл бұрын
For cold meals we typically do buff chicken wraps with deli chicken/turkey, bolthouse farms blu cheese dressing (or bolthouse farms ranch - theyre yogurt based so way less fat), shredded lettuce, shredded carrots OR chicken bacon ranch salads!

Blair, quick question! Is there a specific reason you don’t get grass fed organic eggs? Just curious. Thank you! Love your channel 💕
@BlairCooley3 жыл бұрын
I still had leftover ones from Costco but matt eats a ton of eggs so he just picked these up - both are great options!
@kaydenl68363 жыл бұрын
Eggs shouldn’t be grass fed-chickens aren’t ruminants. They should be pasture raised if you can afford it, as they get to eat bugs and small critter like lizards or mice or other birds out in the pastures 24/7 (except extreme weather). Costco has a really good price- $7.59 for 2dz pasture raised organic eggs.

We live in Victoria Tx and have access to great shrimp. But I’ve heard it’s high in cholesterol. Any opinion on that? I have borderline cholesterol issues due to PCOS. So I try to not each anything too high in cholesterol. But we love shrimp. I’ve omitted beef from my diet almost completely.
@BlairCooley3 жыл бұрын
Yes, any animal protein has cholesterol so moderation is key - focus more on plant based sources of protein if you’re looking to monitor cholesterol! Beans, lentils, whole grains, etc hope that helps!

I’m assuming no, but does the vinegar change the taste of the fruit and veggies you soak?
@BlairCooley3 жыл бұрын
Nope! Rinse with water after letting them soak!
