Totally agree. I’m new to off-roading, and not even capable of, or wanting to, do a lot of what is done on this channel. My vehicle is well beyond my skill and i get crap for 1) my choice of vehicle and 2) the fact I am not doing things that are “hard” or “challenging”. It’s all a matter of perspective. So many people just feel the need I guess. Glad I don’t live that way.

Welcome to Penrose! Moab of the Eastern Rockies. Rock buggies and crawlers are daily drivers and half of the locals have horses. This is the back door to NORAD so accessable roads has never been a priority in these canyons. I'm planning on building a rock hopper rig myself, but still collecting parts. Still putting together my tow rig too. Everything is under construction is better than everything is broken, I guess.

Personally, I question the sanity of people who do those trails!😉 I will just sit back and watch!😁 Seriously, while I like off roading, I have no desire to do rock crawling, especially at that level! @@bleepinjeep I whiskey throttled my trials bike down in Freedom dropping down from a sloping rock. Sheer terror for about two seconds then ended up dumping me onto my hip and ribs on a boulder. Severely dented my fuel bottle in my pack and two days later was getting a MRI to check for internal bleeding from a pizza sized bruise on my ribs. It was a factory 300 two stroke which I traded down to a regular 300. Last August traded that in for a 300 four stroke. Much more predictable throttle, but still deceptive. You don't get the crisp snap of a two stroke but you find yourself going faster than you thought!! A whole bunch of new unsanctioned single track lacing through all the canyons and draws that aren't on the official map. Some singletrack versions of Patriot fer' sure!

Been there and "watched" built buggies struggle up the waterfall. Either great editing or you guys nailed it the first attempt. Very impressed!! BTW, the video doesn't do the arduous terrain justice. I'm surprised Indy is rated #5, thought it would be one of the toughest.

It unfortunately does fall into our #5 as each trail we did was harder and harder. And yes we both drove the entire trail without a winch unassisted. We agree though, the videos never do justice to the real life thing.
