Can you please show how to make shape keys for a Bicep flex with Auto Rig Pro? 90 degree elbow bend, 120 degree elbow bend, and 150 degree elbow bend with the forearm compressed against the bicep? I do not understand the Artell Blender v3.57 tutorial. Second question: How do you sculpt the geometry to make the shape key driver deformation?

yes you can . select rig bones. match your rig. after that "editreference bones", select head_ref.X bone (main bone and then click "limb options". then toggle "eyelids amount" then rematch the rig

Hello. Thanks for the video. I need the teeth to move too, but doing the same thing in the video the teeth stay fixed. It's a monkey head, and when you open your mouth a lot the teeth should open, but they stay fixed. Any solution?

Which version of Auto Rig you are using? . In the current version we have section you can mark upper and lower teeth . This will help that . You can check my current rigging tutorial, I used that method

@@weelearnfrommobile773 First of all, thanks for answering! Yes, I have the latest version and I have seen that, I have teeth and tongue indicated. It works well but when I make a copy of the model to save the key shapes and restore it to the original model, only the head object works. The teeth and tongue objects are not animated, they have no movement, so the mouth remains open but the teeth remain in the original shape. Am I doing something wrong? or is this normal and is there another way to do it? If you ask me, I can make a short video with the problem to show you.

If you delete that, it won't recognize by Auto rig again it will give you error,so better hide that part

Hello, I really hope you could help me out with this issue I'm having. I'm working with a model that has already been made using Auto Rig. However, the model did not have any facial rigs, so I'm trying to add one on to it. When I follow all these steps, the face rig doesn't seem to do anything, while rig for the entire body becomes impossible to select. The model was created using an older version of Auto Rig and I have the option to update it, however doing so will make the body rig invisible and give me a face rig (the opposite of what I want).

I think the the body rig has moved to new collection which is invisible, you get it back my toggle on the eye collection that contain the body rig.I think is better to rig your character again with the full body and face. That will be better. Because if you try to use that method you are using now , you may run into weight painting problems

@@weelearnfrommobile773 I think I just needed to recreate the rig all over again, as the bones for that model may have been outdated. However, when I try to bind the new rig to the model it doesn't seem to work? It loads for a few seconds yet the rig still doesn't affect the model.

Now you can select the mesh then go to modifies and on armature modify click on the save as shapekey , this will save the current pose as shapekey

make a new collection then put the character and the rig + all the other parts inside, then you can just link that collection

May I ask one more question: after the the new collection is imported into a clean scene, how may I make the spline controls active to I can animate? I ask because I cannot select any controls after I link the character into a new scene. Thank you, putting all the assets into a new collection worked. My eyes do not close properly after using autorig. The eyes are slightly tilted which seems to offset the movement of the bone. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? I don't think weight painting alone will solve it.

The better way is you can use shape keys. First, use the rig to pose the eyes in a closed position, making sure not to distort other parts of the mesh. Then, apply the pose as a shape key. Next, go to sculpt mode and use the Grab and Smooth tools to create the desired effect. Finally, you can use the shape key to animate the blink or eye closing. You can also adjust the shape key's influence to fine-tune the animation

And also Auto rig has 3 engines for binding one is HEAT MAPS 2:VOXELIZED(TYPE1 AND TYPE 2) 3:VOXEL HEAT DIFFUSE SKINNING. You test each of this binding engine to know which one can fit your character

Sorry but why do you create a separate head to transfer the shape keys you originally made by moving the bones around, only to transfer them back to the original head? can't you just use the bones (poses) on the original head to create those expressions in the first place?

in case you still need the information: there is a weight transfer in blender that can be used.. in the Weight paint mode go in the upper row onto "weights" and transfer weights.... I kinda forgot how to use it, but there's def tutorials online, I think.

Would it be possible to combine an Autorig Pro facial rig with a different body armature, such as one from Rigify? I'm working on a character and ound that rigify gives me best results for the body while ARP works best for the face, but I don't know how to bind and combine the two. Is it possible?

It can be that your version of Blender is not compatible with the Faceit add-on. make sure that you check the Blender Market and ensure that you have the correct version of Faceit for your version of Blender.
