If you ever have an issue with a turbosmart product you just email them and show them the issue and they will ship a new one same day. They dont stuff around. Wastegates are their main product so if theres a bad batch they would put out a press statement and rectify any faulty products.

What’s the difference of tapping the housing instead of unscrewing that npt block off and using that as a boost reference?

@@e92_sway you can use it yes but its not a good spot for accurate boost its meant for a speed sensor when you remove the compressor you will see the location on the blade it sits it also causes less efficiency of the turbo🙏🏽🙏🏽
