Is it possible to use a different hose and regulator to tone it down a bit? I would like to use it for frying and cooking food. I have not received mine from Amazon yet. The HellFire will be my very first burner. After reading more and more reviews I didn't know how powerful this thing really is! I hope I didn't make a mistake buying one too powerful for a deep fryer. And I can only find replacement Hose & Regulators for the Top Tier burner, is that a completely different burner compared to the HellFire burner?

I see this on beer making sites but I wondered could I use this as a turkey fryer? The stainless steel construction would make it so much better than the standard turkey fryers that rust so quickly.

We have the TopTier Burner Heatshield on our parts site. The HellFire heatshield will not fit the TopTier Burner. parts.blichmannengineering.com/

How do you switch it from efficiency mode to high performance mode?

With the regulator half open and the air damper adjusted you will get 80,000 BTU/hr. With the regulator fully open and the air damper adjusted you will get 140,000 BTU/hr
