Hi from Italy :D (Was necessary to specify my country? No? Whatever). It's always a pleasure to see new player try the original Souls Experience. Each title in the saga has its big flaws but also its uniqueness and strong points that make it original and worthy of being played. My favorite is Dark Souls 2, it is not perfect, but it impressed me a lot. Good luck and have fun. Just read the item descriptions more, they are very useful both for the lore and from a practical point of view in the game

All souls players have to go through the hazing ritual known as blighttown. We come out as better players for it, but it is definitely hell. That and your first time in both Sen's fortress and Anor Londo, but I'll let you discover that 😉
