Spike being responsible: Actually I feel like Spike has been consistently acting more responsible and grown up ever since Starlight moved into the Castle last season. My theory is Spike is now living with somebody who talks to him on the same level, as a peer, instead of Twilight treating him like a kid (and even at times the other Mane 5 seem to treat him like a kid too). Also, Starlight's more pragmatic than Twilight and I suspect not only would this rub off on Spike, but it seems to actually work well between the two. For example, look at their dynamic in the last episode when Spike notices Starlight's rage cloud, or in other episodes like the Crystalling. They talk it out rationally on the same level, and I feel it's this which is helping Spike grow up.

It took me a good five viewings before I realized that the bit about Grogar gaining power from fear in the story Twilight was reading was reflecting Flurry's panic-boosted levitation/ teleport spam in the "real" story. You're very clever to have noticed the first time, Kristina.

I've seen this episode 30+ times and NEVER noticed. I know now though. Also Grogar is from Gen 1. Which is a nice call-back to it. And "foreshadowing" for the future.

Flurry's just a baby. She's too young to handle discipline like that. Twilight was more at fault since she wasn't paying attention.

Excitable Twilight is an adorable Twilight! Loved how Twilight was cooing over Flurry Heart as well, I know that it's early in the season still but Spike has been great this season, really loving him so far this season. Seeing Cadance and Shining Armor like that was great, I really liked Shining Armor when we found out that Cadance was pregnant, so the fact that they're doing that more with both of them is great. Also love many of the jokes in this episode, from the shot about art, to the call back from Pinkie Pie's party cave, ect extra, so good! Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD. Also I love how Flurry Heart was trying to calm down the Cake twins, she tried getting Spike's attention, and when he was busy looking for another toy she tried getting Twilight's attention, but then Twilight thought that Flurry Heart just wanted to play so she didn't turn around, and then Flurry ended up tearing apart the toy, probably thinking that way they'll each have a piece of the toy; she didn't know that tearing apart the toy would make the Cake twins upset. My theory is that Alicorns mature faster than normal ponies, also being taught by Sunburst probably helps her as well.

+Narrator007: Thanks lol, although reading your comments in the comment sections of reactors are always a real treat, I appreciate the hard work that you go through with them, like you said all I do is copy/paste my comment(s) to other reactors. If I wanted to do something more creative I'd do what you'd do and post comments that fit more with the reactors themselves; so yeah appreciate the definitely harder work that you put into them.

25:12 we have confirmed release date up to may 27. That's episode 8. The mlp movie comes out october 6. If there is no hiatus at all, then season 7 finale will be 1 week or the week of the movie release(depending on whether the finale is a 2 parter. But since we heard about all of the international releases coming early idk what's gonna happen. But if there is a hiatus, the movie will just be before the finale. Like how the EQG movies came in September/October. But there's gonna have to be a WHOLE LOT OF EXPLAINING to do about setting up the movie, (if you know what's being introduced to the movie). Because idk how it's never mentioned before.

They started writing the script for the movie in season 5 so I doubt starlight's in it, probably just a cameo

Starlight first appeared in season 6 so that was probably around the same time that they were planning out her story arc. Just because _we_ hadn't been introduced to Starlight yet, doesn't mean the writers didn't know who she was.

DB V like how it should've been about discipline instead of hanging out with the baby more, or if anything, a mix of the two morals. I just don't like how Twilight says it's all her fault.

It is true that she should not always be neglectful and angry at her, that's for sure. Babies definitely don't try to annoy you so you got that. However, what you are explaining is permissive parenting, or being super nice and letting your child get away with most of the wrong things they do. The ideal type of parenting is authoritative or a mix between authoritarian and permissive parenting. Discipline is an important part of taking care of a baby if they are not following the rules at all. In Flurry heart's case, something as dangerous as lifting all the ponies without controlling how to put them down is super dangerous. (sorry, got a bit of psychology vocabulary in there since my test is coming up XD)
