In Rainbow Dash's defense, this Rainbow Dash was born as a human and now that she has magic, it is only running speed, our Rainbow Dash is a pegasus, so the height of that roller coaster wouldn't bother her as she can ascend to such heights naturally, so it does make sense that human Rainbow Dash wouldn't be at home that high in the sky and also possess a fear of falling, since she doesn't have wings without her Sailor Scout transformation, which she can't do on her own.

It has been shown that, while they can't do their full transformations on their own, they can still Pony Up like normal on their own. The white room gag was one of my favourite parts of this special. It seems odd as a standalone twist, but as a trick to make the viewers and even the main characters think they were just recycling the plot of Mirror Magic, it surprised and delighted me.

Soon as Fluttershy disagreed with her wanting Fluttershy to change without actually asking if Fluttershy was okay with that, she, as far as she's aware, turns Fluttershy into a program to rewrite as she sees fit, aka stealing Fluttershy's free will. She thinks she took someone's free will away and has NO PROBLEM with it. 19:56 difference here is Juniper unintentionally sucked the girls into the Mirror and it then corrupted her into thinking that was fine. Vignette, however, has not been corrupted by Equestrian Magic but did it anyway. 20:27 why does Sunset look like she can't understand what Twilight is saying? They're both almost just as smart as the other. Sunset should be following what Twilight's saying no problem. 23:57 well, hello, Megan. When'd you get back from Dream Valley? And how come you look YOUNGER than the last time we saw you? 25:27 you know it's bad when even Flim and Flam want you to stop falling for their scams. 30:38 you're right, but there is literally no way Vignette would know Applejack knows about the magic phone and how she zapped RD and Fluttershy and decided to throw suspicion off herself. Applejack didn't say anything beyond "don't trust Vignette" until AFTER Vignette pulled the switch with the phones. 34:27 seriously, as far as she's aware right now, she literally just warped the entities that were the girls and she doesn't even care. As far as she knows she's just taken their free will and turned them into mindless programs. Vignette is literally the most evil villain Equestria Girls has ever had after The Sirens. Should she be forgiven? Um, yeah, NO! Vignette does NOT get a pass on this. 39:32 now Sunset is worried that Vignette is getting more corrupted by Equestrian Magic every minute, but here's the thing, she ISN'T. Not once has there been ANY sign the magic is corrupting her at all. But you don't need to be corrupted by Equestrian Magic to do something horrible or be a horrible person. Vignette first keeps making Rarity redo EVERYTHING despite how little time there is before the parade and that's her tamest bit of dickitude. She literally says as far as she's aware she ERASED THE GIRLS FROM EXISTENCE, aka KILLED them simply because they refused to let her force her way into their band without even asking them first, on top of renaming their band without asking first and passed it off as if she'd lost a toy or something. Sure, all the other villains who have used Equestrian Magic did horrible things, but, excluding The Sirens because they were outright evil banished from Equestria to begin with and Wallflower because she felt isolated and ignored and realized her mistake once she erased all Sunset's human memories, let's look at it for a moment. Sunset tried to kill Princess Twilight AFTER being corrupted by Equestrian Magic. Sci-Twi tried to rip the world apart to get to Equestria's magic AFTER being corrupted by Equestrian Magic. Juniper intentionally kept the rest of the Humane 7 and then trapped Sunset in the mirror AFTER being corrupted by Equestrian Magic. Gloriosa tried to keep everyone in Camp Everfree against their will AFTER being corrupted by Equestrian Magic. Are we seeing a pattern here? Aside from the Sirens and Wallflower, every villain in Equestria Girls up to now only did horrible things intentionally AFTER they were corrupted by Equestrian Magic. Vignette, however, was NEVER corrupted by Equestrian Magic once, but did things even most of the others didn't WHEN corrupted and she had NO qualms about it. She does NOT get to be forgiven here. Not a chance!

I just realized something... I think we are in for at least another 2 of these EQG specials where they are up against Equestrian Magic. Six orbs of magic left the crack in the statue. One slammed into the caves at Camp Everfree, another cursed a Mirror at the mall, a third bewitched a watering can and by extension a lot of flowers, and a fourth ended up on a mobile phone. This leaves 2 unaccounted for.

Overall, I really enjoyed this special for its humour, and focus on characters besides Sunset or Twilight - who, BTW, were hilarious with their ring-toss obsession. However, it does bother me how much it pandered to social media users. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: if you go back in time to 2013, when Equestria Girls first came out, you never would have heard words like "trend", "selfie" or "hashtag". It was just a high school girl movie, with My Little Pony elements mixed in, and it was special enough to warrant a whole spin-off brand. Now in 2018, it feels the need to tie-in with social media trends in order to stay relevant. I suppose in small doses it's harmless enough. But if you use them too often it becomes like using pop-culture references; relying too much on their appeal as opposed to establishing your own. It's why Vignette isn't the strongest EG villain ever. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this blind reaction. I'll be looking forward to the ninth (and possibly last) season of MLP, but I'll also be anticipating the next EG special. I've seen a preview of it online and... Oh boy! It's gonna be something. Until then, stay tuned.

So at 2:56 Equestrian magic enchanted her smartphone, just like Juniper Montage's mirror. Speaking of which I wonder if Cantre Zoom ever gives her another chance after she tried to sabotage the Daring Do movie ? Perhaps if Chestnut Magnifico gets sick maybe Juniper could replace her after she goes through a lot of practice. And at 15:43 that kinda looked like Adagio. We still don't know what happened to the Sirens after Rainbow Rocks. What if they discover the crack on the portal ? In anyway some day the Sirens have to return. And what if the magic enchants objects that belong to Snips and Snails ? Maybe if they misuse it they will be transformed into winged freaks again like in the first Equestria girls movie ? What if Abacus Cinch and Filthy Rich gets hold of the magic ? I think Cinch will use the magic to reclaim her place as principal of the Crystal prep academy and transform the students into soldiers to make a powerful army, similar to what Sunset Shimmer did the first time. And it's obvious that Filthy will use the magic to make a lot more money and tear down Camp Everfree to replace it with a spa resort. I'm not sure where the leaking magic is going and I know it raises too many questions but we need answers.

I relate to Apple Jack. People don't usually care about simple, honest truths. People listen to social proof and confidence, genuinely wanting and hoping for good truths that aren't painful. This is one of my other favorite Equestria Girls specials too since I really enjoyed this one and I sometimes even still see it on TV occasionally on the Discovery Family Channel even though I actually haven't really seen this special all that much lately on that channel.
