It’s a slow but good premiere . I really liked the chemistry between Frank and Beth , it was nice to see him happy and maybe even try to move on. The fight in the bathroom and then bar was great (RIP Ringo)

Fun fact yes a lot of the stuff they filmed outside of NYC is definitely also in NY state. The interior of the bar in this episode is actually from a place that is in the next town over from mine. The hotel in the next episode is also in NY in a town that my father lived in before I was born, I have been there and passed it multiple times in my life. My half brother's grandmother actually was the manager of the hotel in the 1990s.

Love this series soo much! Rewatching it at least once a year, sometimes directly, sometimes through the reaction videos. Jon Bernthal is such a fucking beast in this show. The intensity, the voice, the growling, the fighting... Whew. And then he hits you with the hurt little duckling face in the vulnerable moments. Where you can see the broken man who holds himself together with not even glue but like sticky tapes. Always on the brink of coming undone.
