What I liked about this episode is that Jerry admitted his mistakes and apologized for his shortcomings for being a father to his childrens. While on the other hand Rick don't want to accept and end the conversation that Jerry is somehow better than him on something. So he ratted out his grandchildrens just to tell to everyone that Jerry is an awful parent, even if it means to also drag everybody else into that same awful personality level together with him.

Jerry brings a lot of these issues on himself tho. At a certain point you have to learn from your mistakes... like after being rushed to an alien ICU because you ate some random sht that rick had in the fridge, you should learn not to eat strange things rick brings home... but Jerry still does it (seen at the end of the 2nd IC ep and earlier this season)... and when someone stamps "dont develope his app" on an aliens forehead it's a pretty good bet that you probably shouldn't develope his app... I felt bad for jerry season 1 but at a certain point it's on him.

Meanwhile, he never sold a campaign when he worked in marketing and then was fired and remained unemployed with the exception of briefly working for the Galactic Federation doing a job he didn’t understand despite receiving commendations and promotions(now that I think of it, the Galactic Federation may have just been rewarding him because they thought he turned in Rick). I think Rick was spot on when he said Jerry was a parasitic predator that acts pathetic and incompetent to gain sympathy and manipulate people. The whole family has flaws but I find Jerry to be the most insidious and unlikeable.

We can look at the clocks to see the time. This is important as we are able to see how long it takes Rick to make a Clone of that Tommy dude. Based off of the information given to us, and the tome given of him offering that to her, and the end of the episode, no. Beth isn't a clone. The clone subplot doesn't exist. She is human. She, unlike Rick, did what she thought was the best idea, and stayed with her family. She isn't a clone.

It's a bit of cycle. 1.) Jerry is doing something that provokes pity and sympathy 2.) People shit all over Jerry, pushing him away 3.) Something good happens to Jerry, and he latches on to it for a sense of self-worth 4.) The good thing eventually ends, and Jerry reconnects with Beth 5.) People shit on Jerry again, and the status quo returns Lather, rinse, repeat. The whole divorce arc was just a season-wide Jerry subplot.
