The clone begging for credits hit me hard... that could have been any of our hero's from the clone wars... forced into the ultimate betrayal then reduced to begging for change... the clones had it fucking rough!

One thing I haven't seen pointed out is how Obi-Wan helped the clone out of the goodness of his heart even though you can tell in his face he can clearly still remember all the horror the clones brought.

The last scene was so well done. All those feelings that Obi-Wan had when he heard Anakin is alive. Ewan knocked it out of the park with his facial expression. Really enjoying the series so far

Yeah, I'm with Eric it never even entered my mind that the Grand Inquisitor could be dead... like he's alive, its the same character... He's appeared in Rebels and in Comics... He literally can't be dead without needlessly complicated cloning or de-canonizing rebels, the latter of which I really hope no one on the Story Group is that stupid. Yeah my only gripe with this episode is the fact that the Grand Inquisitor didn't see that stab coming, she literally hasn't followed a single one of your orders, and she clearly wants your job... you're supposed to be smarter than this.

I absolutely believe that Third Sister/Reva was one of the kids from the beginning shot. Her hatred of Kenobi--and the fact that she somehow knows that Anakin and Vader are the same person, when that should be a huge secret--makes me think she was one of the kids from the Temple and she lived past O66. I think she blames Kenobi for failing with Anakin and allowing him to turn to the Dark Side.

Pretty certain she is - I got that vibe instantly. I think we'll be seeing more flashbacks - possibly either her witnessing or even being part of the children who Vader attacked. Or heard him being referred to as "Lord Vader" by the Clones and put two and two together after he was put in the suit. I'm guessing she was rounded up with other padawans/younglings as has been alluded to in other media and was turned. I guess she also hates Kenobi because of the beacon message telling the remaining Jedi to go into hiding rather than attack The Empire or rescue them.

I agree. But I also think she wants revenge on Vader for killing her friends. And her plan is to use Obi Wan as bait to lure Vader into a trap. That's why she's so desperate to get him before the others do. I also think this grand inquisitor is dead, and she'll likely blame his death on Obi Wan.

One of the things I love is that it shows how much it mentally messed up Obi-Wan when Anakin became Vader. They were so close (Clone Wars is a testament to that)… now this. Really tragic and sad. Also, I love the little detail that both young Luke and Leia share Anakin’s adventurous spirit, wanting to get out there and explore the Galaxy.

It never made sense to me why Leia would name her son after an old guy she hardly knew personally. This series actually helps bridge that gap for me seeing she named him after the man that saved her life. BTW I love the actress they got for Leia! She’s obviously not trying to impersonate Carrie fisher(rip), but you can see hints of her becoming that. I view her the same way I view Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo. It’s not meant to BE the exact versions from the films because frankly they haven’t BECOME those versions if that makes any sense. I just hope she doesn’t get hate like what happened with Jake Loyd.

Already in Episode 4, Leia has referred to Obi-Wan as an old family friend, or rather her father's friend, who fought together in the Clone Wars. So even then it was clear that she must have known Obi-Wan to some degree.

I think the casting selection was amazing because I could see the resemblance of Padme and Anakin in her it was quite surreal. On top of that, in the second episode when she jumps off the building you can hear how similar her cry for Obi Wan sounded to Padme.

I like how Obi Wan really struggled to use that Force, despite being a Jedi Master. Its like he had to use "muscles" that he had not used in a long time, and looked to be in genuine physical pain because of it. Shows you just how long it's been.

Kenobi knew who "Lord Vader" is. He thought Vader was killed on Mustafar, so just hearing that Reva wanted to take him to Vader, and that Vader was alive, should have been all he needed to be terrified.

People keep bringing up Qui-Gon dying comparing what happened to Grand Inquisitor. The difference is Qui-Gon was a Jedi who followed the light side. There is no death, there is the force. He embraced death because he didn't fear it. We've seen dark side users like Maul hold onto their hate and fear to remain alive despite grievous injury. We're only 2 episodes in. The story isn't done. I await him popping up and Reva having a surprised pikachu expression.

It can also justify why she doesn’t adress this events when she sends him a message in R2 in A New Hope. Maybe she didn’t know he and the old “Ben” who saved her were the same person and that’s why she only says he served her father during the Clone Wars. Also, maybe Luke told her afterwards that Ben and Obi Wan were the same person and that’s why she named her son after him

I'm almost certain that the GI's wound will be blamed on Obi-wan by Reva when Fifth Brother shows up. So she has a time limit to catch Kenobi and "gain Vader's favor" which really is pretty unlikely all told if she's going to go rogue. I think that Third Sister knowing Vader is Anakin is an anomaly, something based on her backstory, because it seems really weird that most higher ups don't know (to the fact that Vader almost kills Thrawn when Thrawn admits he figured it out) but some Inquisitor knows. And yeah I think Leia reminded him of Padme, but my wife also considered Satine there. To be honest, Padme and Satine were VERY similar and close friends, so the association from one to the other wasn't far off.

Reva seems to be hiding the fact she was a Temple youngling ("you came to us from the gutter" would be weird to say if they knew she grew up in the Temple) so I'd guess she knows Vader is Anakin from seeing him at the Temple that night (and tbh kinda thinking her goal might be to get revenge against Vader for that)

@@o0Evo0o yeah, I've seen the theory that she was one of the younglings, and I can definitely get behind her falling so far into the dark side that she wants to get close to Vader for revenge by any means possible? Or maybe there's no twist and she's just that ambitious but I like the idea. It means she would sacrifice Kenobi and all those others for that chance to kill Anakin. it ties it in a bow, but we'll also have to see if that's the angle they go with.

I loved how reluctant Obi-wan was to activate his lightsaber because its the hesitation of transforming from Ben Kenobi, the meat cutter, cave dweller, blaster user character, into THE Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, a member of the Jedi Council, served as a General with his own legion in the clone wars and was responsible for training the said to be chosen one. It just goes to show how symbolic the lightsaber was to the Jedi. Great episode and Great Commentary.

I think Reva was one of the Palawan's in the opening scene and either wants an audience with Vader to try to kill him, or Vader/Anakin took her as an Apprentice and that's why she has so much more information than than she should, because she's on direct orders from Vader to hunt Obi-Wan whilst keeping an eye on the inquisitors.

A lot of people are not understanding the very good strategy they are playing in this series. The idea they are developing is that 10 years without practicing and really trying to suppress Jedi techniques, Obi-Wan is really losing his abilities. He's turning into old Ben Kenobi. It's a great idea to develop continuity because it explains how the Jedi in the prequels and in the animations they seem a lot more powerful than in the original trilogy. If Obi-Wan started jumping off buildings and moving walls with one finger, it wouldn't look like he was holding back and stopped training. Inquisitors, on the other hand, train and practice all the time. Combat will not be so easy without hidden training.

I grew up with the prequels and obviously have nostalgia but as a movie fan yeah they have loads of problems. I never minded if people acknowledged that but still said they loved the prequels regardless. What is annoying is when people try to act like they're flawless while at the same time hating on the sequels when they're getting the same treatment as the prequels. I specifically remember hearing Gen X say that the prequels ruined star wars and now that opinion has shifted towards the sequels

The prequels have problems, ep 1 & 2 could basically be rewritten, but the heart is there and at least it all satisfyingly ties in and sticks the landing. 7 rehashes 4, 8 does nothing, wastes the time of the previous movie and still doesn’t develop any of its characters. 9 is the worst film I’ve ever seen in my life. The Room is better. Nothing compares to how ridiculously awful that movie is. Not a single good thing about it. Ok I take that back, I still love palpatines acting. He’s a great campy villain. But he was unfortunately shoehorned into this with no set up and no pay off. It’s insulting that anyone would think that movie is remotely good.

She didn't know who he was. Probably not canon now, but it was at the time) Also, Han didn't seem particularly close to the guy so I don't really see him naming his son after him. Could be wrong, but it's nice to see this new connection. I'm not sure if she'll find out his second name during this show, but if not I think she'll join the dots after he dies. I just think it makes her naming the kid Ben more believable if she realized the man who kept her safe as a child was the same who died to keep her safe again. I like that there's a more personal relationship now, what can I say 😊

So my theory why 3rd sister doesn't mind probe Owen (you know, besides 'story') is that Owen's genuine hatred for the Jedi is so raw and honest she doesn't feel the need to probe him. Proof that Liea has always had a take charge and do this myself attitude. She becomes more diplomatic and better at concealing her thoughts and emotions. To the point she could be in the Senate with the Emperor and an Interrogation with Vader and neither realized she was a subconscious force user and Anakins daughter. The young actress they found portrayed this very well, by the time Ben showed up she was starting her own plan to rescue herself. Probably reminded Obi-wan of bother Padme and Satine.

I was so slow I didn't recognize Flea from RHCP till this episode. The homeless 501st clone beggar veteran hit hard & even more so that Obi-Wan showed him compassion & giving him credits. Believably a young Leia/Carrie Fisher, believably Padme's daughter - I'm a bit miffed that the guys thought Obi-Wan was talking about the Duchess or Anakin when her behaviour was so powerfully reminiscent of Padme. And also believably a child, albeit one with (entirely believable) flashes of maturity beyond her years. She's been a brilliant achievement by actress, writers and directors so far, very very impressed - she's such a key component of the show that getting her right on the page, in the casting and in the performance was clearly make or break for this series.

Wonder if the reason she specifically hates Kenobi is that she was waiting to be rescued and then was shown his emergency message which basically says "you're on your own"
