What is your experience with zildjian? Durability? Sound? I am buying some soon and I want something that will last me a long time.

I've always loved the sound. Very Bright. Durability is incredible; when you buy things out of the pricier series. Once thought I'd buy a ZBT-set to wear less on my A-cymbals, thought I'd deal with the kind of crappy sound, but they didn't last for long. So yeah, I love their upper products and they last great! If you're looking for dark cymbals I might look elsewhere though. I myself is looking into getting some darker Meinl.

I have ordered some ZBTs, a 16" and an 18", I am only still an ametuer drummer kind of so I don't need something high end. Maybe I will go for some upper stuff next time I need an upgrade.

Hey, Nick! I actually don't know any way of removing them - to me it sounds impossible out of a technical aspect, as it all gets mixed down to one stereo audio-file, meaning all frequencies mixed, so I couldn't see that being possible. I just mix it and compress it in a specific way making the illusion of the original drums not really existing. I'll be going through that in a future tutorial!
