I was just about to comment on that, and you're absolutely right! Arthas was just a prince. One of the most iconic scenes in Warcraft 3, is the one where Arthas succeedes Terenas Menethil II, his father, the king.

Digman14 Arthas is more akin to Satan, a fallen prince who usurped his father's kingdom, like a fallen angel who usurped the Earth. Though Arthas's father is not a good analogy for God. Sargeras is the definitive Satan figure in the Warcraft universe, and a case could be made for Gul'dan, since he decieves the orcs and drives them through a path of darkness. Thrall is definitely Moses though, and Anduin Vrinn is Jesus.

The Starcraft franchise has sold ~ 18 million copies while the Warcraft franchise has sold over 64.5 million copies. In Warcraft 3 Arthas was the first and last character you see. Until SC2 Kerrigan didn't really have life instead she was more of just a "Here's what the Zerg Swarm can do" showcase. And then in World of Warcraft the single most iconic cutscene is at the end of ICC where you finally defeat The Lich King, almost every single person who will play World of Warcraft will see that cutscene. Not to mention there have been a bunch of World of Warcraft references everywhere and those were pretty much all around the time of WotLK so every time someone googled "World of Warcraft" you got a big Arthas in your face. Plus if Dwight had been Arthas it wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining.

In all the historical statues I've seen, be it bronze, marble, or some other mineral, all the eyes are blank. I don't think, with our current technology, it is possible to capture the immense tiny detail of the eye in metal or stone.
