I think the Obamas were gifted a dog same brand, sounds like a great family dog... she's so cute...slightly too quiet for a pup... she looks so easy to love but we don't have the responsibility.... isn't it sad how they're totally at our mercy and by he look of her she accepts you straight away... she knows her fate is in your hands. She looks like Burt... Everything's coming along so nicely and now the road ahead is clearer in the mind... design, plans, windows ... its all looking great Andy. Andy I’m a veterinarian from UK you can let that pup eat hard food, just add water if you want to soften it, a few days of the boys food won’t hurt her until you can get some puppy food.

The puppy looks sick to me. Eyes are not clear and lethargic. Needs checking out with the vet as probably has a gut parasite overload. If you can’t find a good owner for it (maybe your brother and sister in law?) I would not be able to let her go to a bad life. You could look after her for them if they went away and your two would help with training. Build is starting to take shape now and the work you do makes a big visual difference. Good for the soul to see results.

She looks traumatized-maybe lost her siblings 💔 to nature. Awww, she's so sweet. On the one hand, a puppy just melts your heart. On the other hand, do you really need a puppy? She's cute at this size, but they grow. I bought a Basset mix from the shelter; the runt of the litter. Six months later she was 100+ pounds!!! Mum may have been a Basset, but I think dad was a Shetland pony! Good luck with your decision!

Hello Andy. Fantastic progress on your house!!! Glad you’re wearing protective gear (although flip flops made an appearance 😅). Thank you for update on cistern. Nice to know you put it to good use. As for the puppy, I can’t help thinking that it is fate that brought you together. If she’s a Portuguese water dog, you have all the elements within your property to make her, your boys and you happy. I can feel your dilemma though. She will be higher maintenance with her hair to prevent matting too and, of course, more vet bills. It must be your decision and yours alone. I’m glad I’m not in your shoes. Please find her a good home if you choose not to keep her. She seems very young and still in need of milk. Best of luck.

Puppy looks like a brown Portuguese Water dog. Good size dog. A lot of fun, loves to cuddle , herding dog. So that kind of makes sense. A lot of energy in a dog like that. Cat food is a bit high in protein for dogs but a puppy probably needs that. Good luck with her she will be beautiful if she is healthy.

The puppy is adorable, even though she's still in shock, and does need a check up. Our best pets do choose us, I do hope she fits in to your family. Don't use age as an excuse not to keep her - I did that after my last dog passed, and it's one of my biggest regrets. I'm in my seventies and alone now, and would love to be sharing life with an old beloved dog. She is the perfect age to grow up with Will and Chris, and still be a great companion when they are gone.

Pretty good job Andy , the works are going on well . About the puppy wathever you do with her, you you should bring her to a "refugio animalar" near you ( maybe Sao Bras ) for an examination by a veterinar ( it's free ) . We did it in Tavira last month with the ............4 kitties + mother that arrived one by one during three weeks in my garden . You are not obliged to give your name even if you keep it and she will have a chip with her name . Keep on working winter will arrive .
