Since we are in a bloodborne video, I pictured Max0r's misshaped bones acting as the case, cables made out of tendons, pumping muscles keeping the flow of blood, and organs intertwined inside his new "ribcage", where instead of electricity his blood flows inside the grotesque machinery leaving eternally dripping puddles of distilled red and the scent of rust. His malformed head adorning where you could guess was the CPU, his teeth all lined up where the RAM should be, and his mushy brain acting as the storage unit. He no longer clicks, he wills. He no longer edits, he thinks. He no longer gets footage, he breathes. And when it's all done? The perfect gory circuitry that holds his conciousness prisoner rewards him again, a sharp dose of hormones, a momentary relief from his eternal and consistent agony, and when it runs out? He creates more. Imagine Master from Fallout 1 but ramp it to Bloodborne's insanity.

My understanding of the bare bones of the story is that Mergo is a child being forced into a nightmare so that her crying would beckon a sympathetic great one to commune with. Our job is to kill Mergo's Wet Nurse so that her nightmare will end and she'll stop crying.
