Parole after 6 years?! He was given 3 life sentences plus 30 years. How on earth can someone who stole so much from so many (who believed he was a "Christian") be eligible for parole. Plus he didnt buy mansions and sports cars or anything crazy and 21mil is still missing. Usually they follow these dudes for a year or so after repease and since everyone involved is elderly they probably have to do it a little faster than usual. Cause you know as soon as hes released hes running straight to those gold bars..... And then they will arest him for those peoples money cause its almoat the end of alot of their lives he ripped off elderly. Stole their whole lifes savings thats so not right.

It was a very nice area his parents had moved to before he was born, one of the 3 most expensive cities to buy a home in Canada. I had noticed he had a neighbor not much older than us that had a pretty nice house to himself and drove a very expensive model Mercedes convertible. I asked my friend what was the deal with this guy? It turned out his father was a Preacher in the USA and both the 7 figure home and 6 figure car were bought by his father who lived in California where he also had a home and made his money at church. I remember thinking at the time, that doesn't seem very "Christ" like!

Greed🤷 the uncomfortable truth is that however sadly people describe themselves as simple kind trusting innocents, underneath their heart beat faster once that sales pitch started. They put all religious sensibility, common sense and life experience to one side as the incredible promises of wealth were made. Greed my friend. Is always why people get conned. No-one ever wants to face it except the comments who recognise it instantly.

In the four Gospels (Mark, Matthew, Luke, John), Jesus regularly eschews wealth and, paraphrasing here, says that it's easier to thread the eye of a needle with a camel than for a rich man to get into heaven. Anyone promoting the gospel and wealth is not a Christian but a charlatan. Unfortunately, there are way, way more charlatans than Christians in this country.

You can’t speak about “every preacher” anymore than I can speak about every atheist. I am a preacher and I never asked for money for myself. I have never given financial advice except to tell addicts that their addictions are driving their families into poverty. Yes I have been paid to lead church, less than minimal wage because I was paid a flat rate no matter how many hours I spent preparing. I have visited the dying and conducted funerals without payment. Religion is not for everyone. But being non-religious does not make anyone more moral or intelligent.

That's quite an appalling thing to say! How did you just discount the millions of lives destroyed by drug addiction. And their families and loved ones. But losing an object which only has symbolic worty-money, has greater value in your eyes than human life. Maybe I'll come and sell you a policy with 15% interest paid!!! I'll bring a couple of grieving mothers with me to hear your theory about drug dealing being a victimless crime.

@@richardpetker4337 not just that end of the chain. I'm talking about the people at the other end,the ones who don't get to choose whether or not to make their lives more exciting with street drugs. The peasants, farmers who are forced to grow these crops,or off their land. Facing either bloodthirsty armed men or law enforcement who hold them responsible or becoming starving and landless. The poor who exploited in the countries of origin, who are the real victims of the cartels and gangsters. Their stories are never told, and they don't choose to have themselves and their families caught up in it all. These so called 'party drugs' for affluent, vacuous westerners, sounds so innocent. But a moments thought about the journey those drugs have taken, whether from Latin America or Southern Asia, it's the poorest and most vulnerable who are forced to produce and smuggle these drugs. Who's families live in fear of violence. The same villains and thugs who transport drugs transport children and women for prostitution, just another commodity. Another crime the customer pretends has no victims. We really have got to get people to face their responsibility for other people's misery. Sitting with your organic, fair trade cappuccino in your non-plastic cup having been out coked up all night.. you need to see the hypocrisy. The madness of it all has to be stopped. So much misery in the world is caused by a relative few. And we can change that. There are so many of the world's problems that ARE in our hands to solve and this is surely one of the easiest 🤷
