Hi, I have a unique situation with my hair and was hoping you can help. I watched your video on selecting the right shampoo. I went through texture and density changes because of illness. Now, my newer hair is coming in softer (closer to original texture) but the rest of my hair is stringy, dry, and damaged. My hair is naturally fine so I don’t know which shampoo is best for this combination of textures. I wash my hair every 3 days or longer and have been air drying due to the damage. Which shampoo and conditioner would you recommend?

I now go 4 or 5 days - Even with working out and heavy yoga, it’s been life-changing. The double wash is key. I was told the double wash was just marketing, which is total BS. I have completely changed my routine because of Chris and my hair looks amazing. Was an early olaplex 3 convert, but now I’ve learned about leave in conditioner and oil. I used heat protection before - but now I use the redkin he recommended and its an unbelievable difference. I get compliments on my hair every day when I do the least amount of effort just because I now have a solid routine. He is right it’s so much time saved, and so much money

I have coarse hair that loves to curl, so would the morrocan oil products be good for my hair ? I NEVER use any heat on it, and I finger comb my hair. That way I can stop if I feel a tangle and can carefully untangle it. I have found I only need to wash it once a week, but I spent my life believing in daily showering and hair washing.

Hey there Ms. Karen! I’m also a hairdresser, I know of a great hard water shampoo by Malibu that you can use every time you wash to keep the hard water from crystallizing in your strands. Have you noticed your hair can feel damaged even though you’ve been taking a lot of care of it? It may not be your fault! It may be the hard water. If you use this shampoo it will make your hair feel like hair again and make it hold moisture better.

@@colinneanderson7077 Fine hair means your individual hair strands are thin. Thin hair means you have a low density of hair on your head, or less hair in total on your head. I’m age 50 and have had butt length hair almost all my adult life. I got it cut shorter 3 times and each time it grew out super easily. I get 4-6 inches cut off semi regularly and it grows right back in no time. I have to trim it to keep it from getting so long it gets in the way of using the toilet LOL. I’m living proof of your “less is more” mantra. Almost always air dry, not much heat styling, and never used much product. It looks pretty good just on its own, and doesn’t take too much to make it look nicer when I want. A hair stylist told me when I was around 22 that “the more you do to your hair, the more you will have to do to make it look good”. At the time my hair was permed plus heat styled daily and was a lot of work. I took his comment to heart and stopped messing with my hair, and it grew out nice in no time. I’m going to try your recommended products to see if that makes it easier to heat style and hold curls better. I can get it to keep decent heatless waves but sometimes I want to curl it without all the planning required for heatless. Haha

Hi Amanda! I had the same problem, day 2 and following were ALWAYS a bad hair day. This completely changed when I started wearing a satin bonnet at night. Absolute game changer. Avoid the satin pillowcase, your hair is going to stick to your face (in my case, oily face) and the style will be spoiled just by the weight of your head. For those of you with fine hair, I saw another beautician influencer talking about how putting dry shampoo powder on day 1 actually helps you not have to shower as frequently and it was life saving. I can go 4-5 days now without shampooing and my scalp isn't oily at all. There are good videos on dry shampoo powders.

Your tips has changed my hair and brought it back to life. Turns out I never knew how to properly wash my hair (even though I’ve been washing it every day for the last 10 years). I always used leave in conditioner but was always unhappy with the results and how my hair looked after it would dry up. In one of the videos you advised spray leave in conditioner and it was a game changer to me ❤ Thank you

Also can you please do a quick video to show how to sleep on your hair (whether to leave it down or pin it up, etc) to keep your style as fresh as possible without it going flat/tangling? Thank you!!

I have coarse hqir only on the front and back area of my head. Ofc the front part is what keeps me struggling: i often do a keratine treatment to these areas. What do you think is better: - Keratin treat and avoid daily heat touchups for 2 to 3 months. People say that Keratine harms your haor and causes hair loss - Daily touch ups without Keratine Using smoothing products doesn't solve the problem, the hair is really coarse that only heat can tame it.

hi Chris, thank you for caring for those of us who can’t care for our selves. (hair 🤪). I’m 64 years old and I feel like I don’t have much hair on the top of my scalp. I’m sure some of it had to do with menopause nonetheless I’ve been following your routine. I’m using your shampoo and conditioner. I am losing a lot less hair since I started the routine very grateful that I found you been watching your videos for about six months. I’ve turned you onto so many of my friends and my daughter who’s 21 has beautiful gorgeous hair since she started following your routine as well. Do you recommend plasma in your scalp? Thank you for all the advice you’ve given to all of us.

Make sure your hair is 100% dry after styling, otherwise it will start to frizz. And if you have to use a straightener, set it on a lower temp for touch ups.

My hair is so dry I can go over a week without washing it and it is naturally wavy so curling it actually straightens it a bit, and then it hold the curls fairly well. I really appreciate the curling iron tips! I have to touch that up by my face because I have a couple of stubborn cowlicks in my bang area, and that hair can get kind of over done and frizzy. Maybe the dry shampoo could help? I’ve never tried it before.

You’ve probably given me weeks of my life back. For years I was using highly diluted shampoo with no lather, not rubbing it into the scalp, and then brushing thoroughly from roots to ends every night and morning with a boar bristle brush “to redistribute the oil” away from my scalp. I was using loads of dry shampoo at night to try to treat oily roots, but still washing my hair every other day because it always looked dirty. This was all based on advice I’ve heard for years. Since I’ve started your shampoo and conditioner regimen, my hair stays clean for 4 days and the ends are no longer like straw. Lightly brushing with a wet brush on non-wash days, and otherwise leaving my hair alone, makes so much more sense in retrospect. I’m also now using Olaplex 7 only on the very ends, and actually I barely need it between washes. ❤

Wow! All of your videos are always so informative and lovely to watch. I learn so much from this channel and the breakdowns are not daunting at all. I have struggled finding products that work for me and do have a graveyard as a result.😅 I started to simplify my routine and stumbled across your videos. I love the trinity method. My hair feels so lightweight and not producty! I just started using Redken and love it. I never really struggled with proper shampooing, but even then my scalp never felt clean just itchy. Obviously factors such as hard water can contribute to this. Something I noticed with Redken was the quality, my shampoo didn't start falling off of my hands like water. It was easier to distribute onto the scalp. I do love sharing your videos with people to help them on their hair journey. Thank you for these videos and sharing your knowledge with us. I also think you've got a lovely voice that is friendly and so informative. Thank you again 💓 🙂

@naomiclares7943 he's trying to get you to go further between washes. So he's saying if your hair is prone to getting greasy fast use the dry shampoo. For example, if your hair looks/ feels like it needs to be washed a day after washing to use dry shampoo. I think he's suggesting to go at least 3-4 days between washes. It's not a bad thing that your hair gets greasy. If you can't deal with it looking greasy, then use the dry shampoo in between washes.
