Drinking lots of water every day, my hair feels nourished and stronger. Staying hydrated plays a role in hair density. I also combined this with usage of liitlleextra cocoonnion shampoo and hair oil kit. This did wonders and my hair fall decreased by 90 percent.

I started using the Redken volume shampoo/conditioner a couple of months ago. I’m trying to grow my hair out. I finally saw my stylist for a trim after 6 months and she asked what have I been doing because I had not one single split end on my shoulder length layered hair. She gave me a micro trim and said I didn’t need anymore off, she just refreshed the ends. Literally less than a centimeter.

As someone with Asian hair, your channel and recommendations have literally changed my hair life. Among the Asian community that I'm from, people have been taught to wash our hairs every single day (which is understandable for people living in Asian countries because it gets very humid and gross). But in dry climates in the States, washing hair everyday made mine brittle, frizzy, and dull. My scalp was very oily too. Now, I know how to properly shampoo, know which products to use, and have been successfully washing my hair every 3 to 4 days without feeling disgusting. The boost of confidence that comes from my healthy hair is also a bonus! Thank you for spreading your professional hair knowledge online!

I'm having the opposite situation but same results. ^^ I'm not Asian but live in Korea and stylists here tell me to wash my hair everyday. I told them "No, I have fine hair, it's not good for me, I have to wait 3 days" but they told me it's wrong and they look at me like I'm disgusting. ^^ I've been doing really bad stuff to my hair and now it's damaged. Trying to repair and take care of it.

Made my hair fly away.. best to my recollection.. I was using redkin products before for you guys were born, and did well on them . But its a different life. What do you recommend.. I tried the olaplex system. It was awful.. not enough moisture . Although the Olaplex 6 was good. They sent me a sample.. I won't buy it since there m still stuck with 3 bottles of Olaplex . Store wouldn't take it back.. waited to long. So they said.. anyway, what do you recommend .SomethingThat won't break the bank.. I pull my hair back in a bun when I'm in public .

I've been growing my hair out for a year now and have some good length, and am obsessed with finding the best products for my hair. I recently used the ABC pre-treatment with the moroccanoil shampoo and hair mask. However, today I used all Redken ABC products: the pre-treatment, shampoo, conditioner and then the leave-in. My hair has never felt so good! No frizz, silky smooth, shiny, and light and bouncy. I will probably switch between Redken ABC line and Moroccanoil but I can honestly say the ABC line is great!

If it works for you, keep using it. I like Redken Bond repair and have used it for a couple of years, and I used it mostly when I flat ironed my tight curly hair. The shampoo can be a little heavy for people with fine hair (I usually clarify my hair before using it) - it doesn't take much shampoo, which is (probably) why Redken recommends emulsifying it in your hands before applying it to your hair. I like Redken's bond repair better than Olaplex.😊

@@00Mrsx00I've heard other people that had the same problem with the the Redken Volume Injection shampoo BUT apparently if you had that problem it means you weren't using it correctly. It's a really strong shampoo so if you use it too often or you use too much, it'll definitely dry your hair and you have to use it EXACTLY as Chris recommends and use it for what it's intended to be used for (so for example, if you don't style your hair with heat and just let your hair air dry, then there's no point in using this shampoo).

You’re like a magician that’s just spilling the beans on all of your secrets!!! I have always been on the hunt for the perfect routine using products from the drugstore because professional products seemed like a ripoff. I found your channel and finally learned what is actually up with the professional products. I only bought shampoo/conditioner and blowout cream at first, sticking with my drugstore leave in and Amazon jojoba oil. I was so BLOWN AWAY from the results that I sprinted to Ulta to get the rest of the recommended products. I’ve struggled with my hair in a way I can’t describe. I have wavy/curly hair that doesn’t know how to be curly or straight if that makes sense. I’ve tried following the curly girl method for the last 3 years and have had more bad days than good. This has changed my outlook on my hair and my confidence in my appearance. Thank you so much!

I was able to clean out my graveyard of hair products and am very happy with the products you recommend. I now can go FOUR! days in between hair washes and my hair is in great shape and it looks good except sometimes on day 4 I find that I may have to do a little more to make it look good, half up or something like that Thank you for all of your great information, it has helped me tremendously.

I completely agree with Chris about the frizz dismiss shampoo and conditioner. I have fine hair and made the mistake of buying it, and it turned my hair into an oil factory. Unless you have really dry hair, don’t do it. But it does work really well for getting rid of frizz.

@@erinschillings oh absolutely! I almost went with the Redken “all/soft” line and opted with volume after watching a lot of his videos. It lasts a whole week 🙈. I don’t have a terry cloth cap yet so I use a tshirt to keep my hair away from water during the week . I went with1. Redken Cleaning shampoo 2. Redken volume Shampoo (larger bottle) going to save lots of money. I barely use it- once a week 😂 it’s definitely going to last me 1.5-2 years maybe! 3. R-Volume Conditioner 4. Salon brand leave in conditioner until I use his recommendation 5. Salon brand Argan oil and blow out (drying brush). + wet brush It last a whole week and feels clean. Honestly his content saved my hair I was losing lots of hair. Like wads…And now, I barely do. 5-10 strands in the shower at max. And I had terrible Itchy/dandruff looking roots too. So bad… I had that for 4 years. I thought it would go away but it never did. I was even using prescription ketoconazlo but that didn’t even help the itching. The volume shampoo and new hair routine did! I occasionally add oil (pea size) on my ends to keep them shiny and hydrated. Good luck! I hope you find a routine that works! I hope he makes a video on hair masks reviews…that’s my next addition! Like Redken all soft mask vs the Moroccan masks.

redkin volume injection for fine hair>>>>>>>>>> all the info you’ve given chris has been a lifesaver for my hair, from your products, to the trinity method. i’m currently using olaplex 3, and the only question i have (if you happen to see this) is if my hair is still struggling with retaining moisture after using a hair mask and everything, should i continue to use olaplex 3 until moisture is retained for like 1-2 days on my mids and ends?

Personally I don’t think you should overdo it with the Olaplex. Look into it on different websites for clearer advice. It’s not intended for moisture but it could help hair retain moisture if damaged but it’s not a moisture treatment.

Yeah, I think having oil in the shampoo is not really a con when it comes to coarse hair, since it needs the extra hydration. Moroccanoil Moisture Repair, which Chris recommends on his go-to product list for coarse hair, also has oil in it - in their case, argan oil. I've tried both and I much prefer Moroccanoil Hydrating shampoo and conditioner to the Moisture Repair ones, they suit my hair way better. I've also tried Redken All Soft and I did like it, I found it comparable to Moroccanoil Hydrating shampoo, it's just not sold in my country and Moroccanoil is easier for me to acquire.

I was using All Soft line last winter and my hair loved it. I was definitely able to go at least three days without washing and the line helped me fight the winter dryness big time. I find it awkward how each Redken shampoo has some “but” moment… This shampo is good but it won’t do this or that... It makes me question the overall quality of Redken products.

I think the message is that the quality is amazing compared to any drugstore alternative but to not be fooled by marketing techniques. I was completely fooled by the extreme length line. I thought it was for long hair not to help grow long hair. After all of my research about hair I know that no product can really do that from the outside. As a consumer we are so easily duped by the sly words used in marketing! I think Redken is top notch & a true staple in the hair care industry for a long time but now that it's available outside of salons it can be easy to choose the wrong product or expect too much from it!
