All of these are incredible, but I get CHILLS, no joke, EVERY time I see the 2015 Cinderella dress. It will always be one of my favorites, if not my favorite, dress in a movie of ALL TIME, no question. I love your comment. I had been extremely down on my luck when this movie came out. My aunt & cousin kind do saved me from a homeless shelter, I was sleeping on my aunts floor but I was safe. Money was tight but my cousin was going to are my nieces to this movie no matter what. And magically I got to go as well. It was a surprise for me as I hadn't even any clue a new one was out. I cried. It was just so flipping fabulous. And getting to see it with family I hadn't seen in a long time with my beautiful nieces while they were children . . . just. . . .words can't describe how magnificent. It's a connection to my past, being a little girl, then my present time, it connected me to family & in many ways my future because things started to get better, slowly. now I live in a nice place💕🌺 (thank you for reading my essay) many blessings everybody

@@ajpristine4809 it's based on the indian novel devdas and is it is a love story, personally plot wise they trashed devdas and made it very extra, the older movie is better in terms of plot but the devdas she mentioned is definitely something really pretty to watch the set and costumes were beautiful, and would recommend it if you'd like to watch something bollywood.

You should check out Jodhaa Akbar if you want to see a period piece with pretty costume design and Aishwarya Rai as the lead, it's a much better film than Devdas imho. In fact almost any period piece from India with women in prominent roles is going to have great costume design, it's kind of expected. If the Oscars weren't so west-centric I'm sure India would have bagged a ton of Oscars by now in that category alone. I grew up with Bollywood so I'm a little more able to digest melodrama and over-the-top theatrics but Devdas was too much even for me. Jodhaa Akbar and Parineeta are my go-to period pieces instead, they aren't difficult to watch the way I find Devdas is.

Even if it's super close, a generalized size is never going to fit exactly right, so your best bet is either making your own clothing (I REALLY need to practice myself, but with practice, it is possible, and more cost effective.) or getting a tailer. If you find something you love, a lot of times you can just get the size closest to yours and have a tailer make it perfect for you. Sometimes trailers are really expensive, but I'm sure you can find a good one that's not so expensive.

I love that you included bollywood movies, (I can tell you like Aishwarya rai a lot) I loved that you included the blue sari from ms India because it actually one of the most iconic looks in Bollywood history, and I was thinking that Deepika Padukone's blue outfit from hey jewaani hai deewani was really good and memorable and such an iconic look in Bollywood and should be added on this list, but I thought you might have not watched the movie or seen the sari but when it showed up I was really shocked and it made me happy. Definitely would love to see your opinions on Bollywood costumes, it will be interesting to see your perspective as someone is not Indian but really loves them, if you need any Bollywood movie recommendations with amazing costumes you can ask me I would love to give you a list. I honestly love to watch Bollywood movies for the costumes and set, because the plot isn’t always the best, but Bollywood movies are heavily invested in and have huge budgets for such things.
