My Māori Whānau would often sing this song when I was a kid. Still love it. ❤ Thank you for posting 🥰🥰🥰

My first year in school, 1973, all the other children seemed to singing this song, and it was wonderful! As a fellow Kiwi, I can't/don't understand why/how this song didn't become a huge international hit!

Maybe it's a New Zealand thing? It's always been my favorite of theirs.

Ha just realized that there's a mandolin which I've never noticed all these years, now it's all I hear.

Wonder why I never heard of Blue Mink before. Their songs were not much heard here on the radio, which is sad. Thanks for the video, will try to find and hear more of their songs.

.....you and me BOTH - some other GREAT songs on that album, too - AMONG them, "Tonight" by The Raspberries; one of the ONLY places where Lighthouse's "Pretty Lady" appeared in its SINGLE version.....

Very underrated group . They were around for a good few years and had some great hits . Wonderful chemistry between Madeline Bell and Roger Cook too . & Madeline should have been a much bigger star .

@@mjones4083 Yes I agree totally - Madeleine had a difficult time at the end of the 1970s -no record company in UK would give her a contract hence her relocation to Holland where she was fortunately appreciated.
