Blue Reflection's album was composed by Hayato Asano who you've heard from your Atelier Ryza reactions. Dude has a crazy amount of range with his music. binGe is one of the boss themes from the game. The theme progresses as the fight progresses. The conflicting energies you got are basically the back and forth between a demonic entity and a trio of magical girls. The game is a JRPG with half of the game being a chill social sim where you hang out with friends and build your relationships, while the other part is an active time RPG where you are forced to fight monsters in order to protect your friends, have your wish granted, and save the world.

This is one of my favourite game OSTs so I’m really happy to that there’s more on the way. The songs for each phase actually do transition pretty seamlessly in-game, over the course of one long boss fight. The boss fights in this game are considered by many to be the highlight of the first game. Each boss is large and imposing, and they all have really cool designs. Tiphereth (the boss for the song here) is basically a gigantic mechanical butterfly (I think?). Coupled with the phase changes and the unique tracks for each boss, it’s an exciting time. Despite all that, the main theme of Blue Reflection probably is my favourite song in the game. It’s just a really lovely song. I think this is the first comment I’ve left here, so on a completely separate note, this channel has really taught me a lot about music. These videos have helped me understand what sounds, instruments, etc that I really like, and even inspired me to dabble in the field myself. So thanks :)

I love the music, characters, storyline, background scenery, and the storyline of the Blue Reflection Ray Anime and Blue Reflection games. This is one if the best Magical Girl series ever. It deserves all the love and support it can get from everyone.

Been on a little "binGe" of your gust reactions (atelier/blue reflection), and it is honestly super cool to see you just "get" the songs without playing the games. Blue reflection 1, is probably my overall favorite video game ost, and that is coming from someone who hated dubstep going into it lol. I could probably gush forever about the osts for 1 and 2, but if you ever need to "feel", blue reflection has your back 100%.

Blue Reflection is a game that doesn't get the love it deserves. It's a life+rpg game similar to the Persona series, but instead of being a bunch of kids banding together to fight some bad (be it the state, or solving crimes, or something) it's just a personal story of a girl coming to terms with life after losing direction, and suddenly having a new possibility open up to her. It's a very calming, and at times very emotional story, but the battles go hard. It's like all the best magical girl animes, but a JRPG.

'Fun' thing about binGe, all the phase are named after chemical formulas for drugs (iirc it's antidepressants, but it's been a while since I looked it up so I may be wrong). Gust games always have great soundtracks, no exceptions. It's amazing how consistent they are Blue Reflection has a phenomenal soundtrack as a whole, from area themes, to cutscenes, to the bosses. It's a short game, but as a result it doesn't overstay it's welcome. One thing no one has noted is you fight each boss twice, and the final phase only happens in their second fights. The bosses are all huge spectacles with really dramatic finishing blows in cutscenes after you deplete the healthbar. One notable thing is that you can't grind in this game, power ups come from doing sidequests. While Blue Reflection is the game's main theme, making Sayonara using it hit really hard in context. It plays both forwards and backwards there.

I still listen to Caspa & Rusko since you introduced me to it during the early days and Marbles streams, lol. Early on dubstep got meme-ified SO hard so it kinda gets a bad rep (that it earned at the time imo) but there's a lot of pretty chill stuff out there. Related to the video, I didn't know anything about this game or binGe until doing research working on The List(tm) and I still listen to it constantly on my VGM playlist at work and stuff. Shoutouts to the requestor! Probably would have gone my whole life never hearing of the game without them or the channel! The title track (I assume) gives me a kind of neat mental picture when I close my eyes and just imagine the sounds of being in a town or school. Makes me curious to know how the story goes from such a quiet relaxing scene to the crazy story scenes I saw!

I'd probably describe the main theme as like melancholic nostalgia. Which basically sums up the entire game. And funny enough, it's used as the game's leitmotif, which you hear in Sayonara during the start of phase 3

What a wild song, it's all over the place, yet cohesive at the same time! I always wanted to check out he Reflection Blue games, might have to after this!

It's been a while. Speaking of Koei Tecmo - I would love to hear some Atelier again. PS: The main theme in Blue Reflection is the base for other themes.

I love these games so much. I'm glad you're getting exposed to more tracks in the series!

Loved your reaction, looking forward to when you do the other boss themes (Toshitake, Tigar, and DNF FW15C). So many tracks from the second game are awesome too.

The Blue Reflection games were my introduction to the genre of Artcore and I love it. I also love when a composer uses the main theme's motif in other songs, Blue Reflection (which is the main theme) can be heard in nearly every song in both game's soundtracks. To put it simply they're are magical girl games based around empathy, human emotions are their source of power. I hope we get a 3rd game and maybe the mobile game being released globally.

It’s not artcore, but what drew me to the games that do have artcore music, was the FF13 trilogy. Felt some similarity there for some reason. Really love the genre now. Especially Blue Reflection

binGE is the third out of the 5 boss themes of this game. Sayonara is the teack you heard last time, which is the last of the 5 boss themes. Each boss theme has 3 phases. And all 5 boss themes if listened back to back to back will become a medley suite.

This OST BGM Soundtrack is epic and sick. Let's take a moment to acknowledge how great the music is, beautiful art style, background scenery. And we'll done storyline and gameplay BR Sun has. Game is just as fun as Tie, Second Light.

I don't mind a bit of light dubstep as a sprinkling, like in the first song.

Basically magical girl persona to simplify it by A LOT if it helps to put a better "face" on the game
