long answer is basically the THX microphone certification program helped establish the audio input performance standard for which the best-selling Yeti microphone family is known. However, the microphone certification program will be discontinued over the coming months as THX will be focusing on its core home theater program (TVs, speakers, etc)

@JRodjan2 i spoke to blue themselves, THX is a company in its own right they endorsed the blue yeti mic on launch, blue yeti continue to make the mic and its exactly the same in every way, both THX labled and non THX labled same standards same tripple condensor mic, so having a THX label means nothing their both the same.

it seems to depend where you order it from amazon dont have any THX labelled ones anymore, but it doesnt really matter as with or without the THX cert their both the same mic.

hey any idea why the "yeti" from amazon doesnt have the thx ceritification. but the ones from bestbuy do..... weird and very sketchy
@OrangeBoxPhoto13 жыл бұрын
@JRodjan2 this is a question i asked before buying short answer is they no longer are certified by THX so no longer show this certification which means amazons stock is newer.

@OrangeBoxPhoto So have you compared the old yeti thx certified mic to the updated amazon yeti? I hope that they are still of the same quality, the pricing of the amazon uncertified version makes me wonder if the quality is still the same or not... I might return the amazon one and buy the best buy version just to be safe.
