In my humble opinion this film beautifully captures the intensity and essence of the experience.

I did Aya in February, and I have completely changed. I’m a few months from graduating film school, and I truly think, since this is without question, the greatest ayahuasca sequence in cinematic history; I think my goal for a thesis film, is to create a sequence close to, if not better than this. I believe it’s gonna take some pretty savey work ffects guys & sound engineers to get me their though. I think the sound is what absolutely blows the roof off this scene. This is 2004-2007ish and they recorded authentic Shapibo Shaman Icaros to and blended them into a wild tunnel of affects, blending layers, reverb. Pitch, and distortion Taking an ancient & sacred song/ prayer/ chant, and turned it dark and scary to match the dark ass visuals Btw, at least with me, way more vibrant colors, lights, love, more personal visions of the future, and out of body experiences that felt warm and inviting like the mother loved us all, and wanted to heal us. Nonetheless, the essence of the visuals were incredible in this scene. Really.

@9letters2woorden Psychedelic experiences are exactly that: a personal experience. Nothing & none could describe the feeling or the difference of the experience, you have to discover it by your self.

The question for me is, why would you want to? That was a waste of a very boring 9 minutes, 32 secs. Who cares?
@didgerman8 ай бұрын
@@suraya1224 in our modern times someone could search for a psychedelic experience to get a deeper understanding of his/her self. For most people a psychedelic experience is the most amazing thing that happened in their lives.

Ayahuasca is made from a vine and a leaf....these are Cacti and not in the Amazon. Many cultures have their own ritual herb, they all produce similar affects.

@didgerman actually, the director did dozens of ayahuasca ceremonies (he states in an interview) to create the visuals and story line. It's def. ayahuasca.

@aadamcycle lucky you you seen all these shapes(^^), but I'm talking about peyote because it's the most widespread entheogen in the northern America...geopolitically speaking it couldn't be aya... that's all.. It's confirm also the comment: "actually, the director did dozens of ayahuasca ceremonies (he states in an interview) to create the visuals and story line. It's def. ayahuasca."
