I really like it!!!! Truth simply put with feeling. A Beautiful masterpiece! Just like every Tool experience complete to date!! Serious though, so unique!!! Beautifully simple, layered with love and spirituality, complexity and depth. Complete. Truly great artists! The likes of which seen once in a lifetime! A gift to the modern world! So much love and respect for the work and heart put into every song making it what it is! Complete a perfect masterpiece! Reminding me how beautiful life is. Time spent listening to Tools music is time well spent!!! Speaking of which.... The new album will be released when the world is ready! Pretty sure their just working on the upcoming lawsuit, after Tool give the biggest Fuck You to the music industry by installing the new album for free on every iTunes account in the world. U2 thank you for the idea... Hopefully no one needs the money!! Else you could I dunno release the album already?!! Ha just jokes ;) Pure genius! I for one and in all, trust in what you’ve done and what will become! Thank you for your time! Hopefully while I’ve been rambling Tool have released their new album making it accessible to everyone and all life will be complete! Keep spiralling ;) 💗 💕 💖

Whenever my mood wants to be negative and hold anger towards people, I remind myself that this life is truly our only one experience, and not to waste it on petty instances of “revenge” or “anger”. It is imperative to remain in the present moment, to be thankful for this consciousness we continually experience. Whether it is tough due to financial problems, relationship issues, or health, this life is and always will be a gift. We are all one mind.

I remind myself that the negative experiences in this life dont matter because its just a learning experience for what comes next....whatever that might be. The inconveniences of daily life, work life, and finances....none of it really matters. I believe we're here for something so much deeper and more meaningful...we just cant remember.

I have come curiously close to the end, though Beneath my self-indulgent pitiful hole, Defeated, I concede and Move closer I may find comfort here I may find peace within the emptiness How pitiful It's calling me (calling me) It's calling me (calling me) It's calling me (calling me) It's calling me... And in my darkest moment, feeble and weeping The moon tells me a secret - a confidant As full and bright as I am This light is not my own and A million light reflections pass over me Its source is bright and endless She resuscitates the hopeless Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt Don't wanna be down here soothing my narcissism away. I must crucify the ego before it's far too late I pray the light lifts me out Before I pine away Before I pine away Before I pine away (pine away) Before I pine away... So crucify the ego, before it's far too late And leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical, And you will come to find that we are all one mind Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable. And let the light touch you So that the words spill through And let them pass right through Bringing out our hope and reason... Before we pine away (pine away) Before we pine away (pine away) Before we pine away (pine away) Before we pine away.

I barely ever comment on anything but this song is just a mental journey of melancholy and enjoyment for me. I can’t express in words that’ll justify to the extent I want them to how much I actually love and listen in awe of this song still even now after hearing it for about 10 years; back when I first found Tool. No band will ever fill the sonic hole Tool have made for me throughout my life personally, there’s just something about them that’s just so genuine and inspiring. I could listen to the end fade out riff of the track on a loop for hours and happily go about my day, honestly soul warming.

The scary thing isnt the coronavirus..it's the censorship around anyone telling the truth about it. (Virologists, Biologists, Pathologists, Immunologists etc. ) People are dying of stress and fear depleting their immune systems and their mind believing there is more to this than the common cold/flu thanks to mainstream mwdia lies. (Before anyone says "but I know someone that died of it" ..The creator of the test said It does not work as a diagnostic tool. & the manufacturers say the same. )

@@djedeye2665 love this reply... we can’t change the world we can only change our world! We are all part of this universe. We just need balance. Most people’s intentions are good nothing to fear. Just make the world around you good and respectful and don’t judge others because everyone is right in their own perception!

When I did psychedelics, I had a come up that was profoundly exciting, and then I hit it... I've been here before, I've tripped sober. It's like you had amnesia and then suddenly realize that you were an actor on a movie set you thought was real. Also there could be a muddy nauseous swirl of everything coming together and all boundaries between everything smearing into static. All experiences can be inspiring and terrifying alike depending on what you take from it, how you think about it.

@@mattsmith3839 Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands and was my first exposure to progressive rock. My dad used to play the album meddle all the time when i was 5 or 6 years old because our Dog at the time went nuts over the songs Seamus and parts of Echoes. Set the controls is such a great song but my absolute favorite version is the live at Pompii version, it just really takes me to another place and it takes the song to a whole nother level. The tribal drumming is so meditative and i find that i enter into a deep dream like state with it and sometimes can visualize light tunnels and strange landscapes in my mind during the peak. Pink Floyd had an obvious effect on TOOL's music but few people seem to recognize it. Listen to Jambi around the 1 minute mark and then listen to another brick in the wall part 1, tell me if you hear the influence.

As full and bright as I am, this light is not my own, and a million light reflections pass over me. Its source is bright and endless. She resuscitates the hopeless. Without her we are lifeless satellites drifting. And as I pull my head out, I am without one doubt. Don't wanna be down here, serving my narcissism. I must crucify the ego before its far too late. I agree 100%, I think the ending is absolutely amazing in this song. Considering on the album the next song is triad, that ending almost feelings like calm before the storm, and the perfect serenity of it is beautiful

OH My Beloved MJK ………there is no other Voice heard on Earth that transcends such sonic satisfaction with defiant masculinity still withholding humility A tone only You can utter with such irrevocable reverence I could go 0n but …we can already imagine you motioning Your little sarcastic fist back and forth and …that’s why, Your …You And YET … I AM …STILL grateful ☮️

@iccabobb sorry, my english understanding is too bad, i cant interpret your words. But the point is crucify is a lot deeper, it goes in the crux of human soul, not just in those "anti" forms of human mind, sooo sorry for the english.

@iccabobb wtf man i just cant understand everything you are saying. Another blast of reflection, some carl jung thoughts would connect you with maynards lyrics in an unexplainable way. Crucify is a fucking deep symbol, sad i cant say what i want to say. Dont get angry because it can resamble gzuz (another symbol).

iccabobb When he says crucify, I believe he’s trying to say that killing his ego will somehow save the rest of himself, like how Christians believe that Jesus died so that everyone’s sins could be forgiven.

I bought Undertow when it first came out, loved it but then didn't bother with TOOL for a long time - I'm really into Classical Music, Indian Classical, Native American, European Folk Metal/Viking Metal, etc. I heard Schism on the radio and bought Lateralus but really only to hear Schism......What an idiot I was. I F***KING love this piece so much. I wish they would have done a live video of this and not just the audio. I've since obtained CD's of Fear Inoculum, 10,000 Days and Aenima. Definitely need to do some serious catching up. I stopped listening to the radio after the inundation of rap-crap, hiphop shit and silly pop music and am completely played out and bored with "classic" rock _ if I have to hear Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Hotel California, and a few other classic rock staples I'll rip my ears off!!!

I have come curiously close to the end, down Beneath my self-indulgent pitiful hole Defeated, I concede and Move closer I may find comfort here I may find peace within the emptiness How pitiful It's calling me It's calling me It's calling me It's calling me And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping The moon tells me a secret, my confidant As full and bright as I am This light is not my own and A million light reflections pass over me Its source is bright and endless She resuscitates the hopeless Without her, we are lifeless satellites drifting And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt Don't want to be down here soothing my narcissism I must crucify the ego before it's far too late I pray the light lifts me out Before I pine away Before I pine away Before I pine away Before I pine away So crucify the ego, before it's far too late To leave behind this place so negative and blind and cynical And you will come to find that we are all one mind Capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable Just let the light touch you And let the words spill through And let them pass right through Bringing out our hope and reason Before we pine away (pine away) Before we pine away (pine away) Before we pine away (pine away) Before we pine away Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Adam Jones / Daniel Carey / Justin Gunner Chancellor / Maynard James Keenan
