I have good success with revolver on monster goose grass in a bermuda lawn. It usually takes at least 2 applications and is very slow to see results. But most of the time wind up dead and does not burn the good grass in warmer months. I usually mix celsius, certainty, revolver to cover all the bases but can't claim that combination makes it more effective on goosegrass.

I haven't used revolver... if the goosegrass breaks through my pre-emergent application next spring I will try it. I'm working on a lawn renovation and the bermudagrass is covering nicely but so far has just been too thin to choke out the loose goose.

I am in the Houston,Tx area. In early spring this year i blanket sprayed revolver mixed with changeup and methylated seed oil. It killed all the young goose grass, poa, rye, and about 95 % everything else that you would want to get rid of in a yard that was a pasture 2 years ago with only one application. My common bermuda was not damaged.@@turftechsolutionsllc

Hi. I love all your videos. Thank you. I have a question. If a customer has a lot of debris in their yard do you charge for that? I don't mind picking up sticks or dog toys if it's minimal however it's like they are conditioned now and will leave whatever has fallen there for us to pick up. I don't want to sound nit picky but when you can fill a trailer with branches palms etc at the end of the day we are losing time money and gas. Do you have a video pertaining to this issue😊

Goose the Goosegrass! Another great video as always. I can't remember, so pardon me if you have already done a video, how does Celero perform on Goosegrass?
@lawncarelife Жыл бұрын
I would consider celero a sedge product. Probably not very effective on goose

Jason I know it's not a chemical for your type of grass but could you do a short video on your thoughts and tenacity?. It would be appreciated.

I haven't used the Dismiss line of products but have used Solitare which contains Sulfentrazone. My biggest issue with that product is that easily burns bermudagrass in extremely hot weather... even at the low rate. As such I've decided to pull back on the post-emergent for my #$%^* goose grass problem and try "nipping it it in the bud" at the germination stage with Prodiamine next spring. ...see you in February!
@lawncarelife Жыл бұрын
You are correct. Many of the dismiss products can cause some damage to the turf. Fortunately, I don't have many yards with a goose grass problem

I've not turned the tide with Prodiamine on Goosegrass. Good luck and write home.
@turftechsolutionsllc Жыл бұрын
Were you using granular or liquid Prodiamine? I was planning to use Resolute 65WG next spring for my pre-emergent application. Most of the goosegrass I've had to deal with this year didn't come up until late June and July. I just figured the Prodiamine had lost its effectiveness by then because I'd put out a mid-rate too early in the spring.

Could you do a review on Farenheit herbicide? I'm thinking about buying it but there is not much online about it. I think it would be good to show the average homeowner the effects of MSM Turf without having to worry so much about the mix rate.
@turftechsolutionsllc Жыл бұрын
Fahrenheit's main active ingredient is Dicamba with a "hint" Metsulfuron-methyl. Fahrenheit works great on numerous broad-leaf weeds... likewise for MSM Turf. I mix them together at the low rate to create my own "two-way" cocktail.
@lawncarelife Жыл бұрын
I should have a video coming out soon spraying metsulfuron. I personally have not tried Fahrenheit
@turftechsolutionsllc Жыл бұрын
Side note - be cautious around oak trees with Metsulfuron-methyl. Lawns can recover in a season or two when we foobar something... whereas it takes a decade or two to regrow an oak tree back to the size of the one that was there before. :)

Can anyone here offer advice. I’m in SW KY with a Compadre Zoysia lawn. I have a good bit of the goose grass, some crab and other junky weeds. The goose is the biggest issue. I had planned on using Celsius WG @ 5oz/A, Dismiss @ 8oz/A and Prodamine @ 1.25lbs/A. I tested on 1,000sqft and after 10 days have seen little results. The weather is about to be cold so I assume all the warm weeds will be dying soon. My question is, is it worth my time to spray all 3? Or should I just spray the pre emergent and use the other herbicides next year as weeds pop up?
@willbobaggins4576 Жыл бұрын
I don’t believe I have Dismiss NxT. Mine only is sulfrentrazone
@turftechsolutionsllc Жыл бұрын
You might check the Celsius WG label but i don't think Goosegrass is listed as a weed it controls but it may do well on the other junky weeds you have. The Prodiamine being a pre-emergent won't help your goosegras situation at this point but the timing is right for using it to get in front of early winter weed germination. Our saving grace is the forthcoming cool weather as you mentioned. This late in the summer here in the transition zone I'm just waiting for a killing frost to cook the goose I'm dealing with this year.
@willbobaggins4576 Жыл бұрын
@@turftechsolutionsllc thank you for the input! I think I’ll just put down the pre and wait on the other two. If they’re going to die soon anyway I’d rather not waste the product
