Thank you for being brave enough to share your story. I am sorry that you're going through this and it started at a tender age. I was officially diagnosed in my early 30s after having my daughter and I broke down in the dermatologist's office because I had no idea that my whole perimeter was falling out. Sigh...I chose to shave it and keep it that way. All the best to you on your journey.

Thanks for sharing Terika. I have followed you for a while and I never heard your diagnosis story. Interesting you got diagnosed so young. AIP also helped but for me it was too difficult 🤦🏿♀️

Awesome video! I've had alopecia since I was 6 years old. I'm 25 years old now. It's turned from alopecia areata to alopecia totalis. You made great points, I also believe in holistic and natural healing. I don't believe that a magic pill will cure this condition. How's everything been with you're alopecia? Stay strong and thank you for sharing this video!

Whoa, I had to fight back tears watching this. I cannot imagine getting an alopecia diagnosis at age 10. It's such a formative and vulnerable age. I was diagnosed in my late 20s early 30s and the only saving grace for me, because the diagnosis was still devastating af, was that it was gradual. I had locs and ended up cutting them off but the injections worked for a while and I wore my hair short which I loved so much. But I stopped the injections after a while because I felt weird about steroids and things just got worse. I don't talk about it on my channel because I like to give people some sense of how I've been treating it which I really haven't been. I'm just so glad I no longer have severe irritation and soreness on my scalp because I avoid putting anything on it but a mixture of water and tea tree oil from a spray bottle. I feel like when you get alopecia, the doctors just tell you about chemical treatments and there's no natural alternatives and you're just stuck with it like there's no cure and you just have to deal with it. Like you said, it's like, what did I do to deserve this? Listening to your experience with it is so helpful, just in terms of not feeling alone and I know so many who watch must feel this way so please know that your authenticity and honesty are so appreciated. I look forward to seeing what you discover in your journey with naturopathic consultation.

Hi. I had this when I was young. Early stage. I went and seen a Samoan medicine lady. She send me to se a Samoan tattooist. They called it an ila. They did this thing that they believe that they transfer it to a tattoo anywhere on your body. I did that amd my hair grew back. Crazy story that’s hard to believe but I swear. My hair grew back. It was so smooth like nothing ever grew there before. But it all grew back.
