Wouldn't you know it? I buy my Bluetti last year, and they fix my two dislikes (max output and ability to charge from the vehicle cigarette lighter). It looks like this unit should be able to run a table saw, which my old one would not. I've used my "old school" Bluetti to do a lot of building out in the woods. Friends have been amazed that one little box can run radial arm saws, drill presses, jig saws, work lights, and or course keep all the cell phones and 18 volt power tool batteries charged up. One more thing you could ask them to do is offer an upgrade for existing customers. Oh, and BTW, I have several MaxOak brnaded products, some over 6 years old, so whoever is behind that brand name has very high standards.

Awesome review Will that led me to purchase one of these units about 6 months ago. It has operated flawlessly and I use it continuously for a variety of power needs in my class C RV. Since your initial review Bluetti is now shipping a newer, fan cooled wall charger that will input at around 460 watts so a nice bump from the original. I frequently charge simultaneously from both 120 volt wall and 12 volt receptacle to achieve 560-70 watts of input which makes for vary speedy charging indeed! The only very minor irritation is the induction chargers on the top of the unit demand absolutely perfect device positioning to work. Thank you for the spec recommendations you made to Bluetti. They were absolutely spot on and highly appreciated. I wish you all the best and many happy reviews in the new year!

Thank you for sharing. Something to consider: @9:30 for professional drivers, they can drive up to eleven hours a day. I know it is not seventeen like you stated, however, it would charge the unit up more than 50% or possibly top it off on daily use. For example: A truck driver will use their CPAP while sleeping and the 11 hours of driving would charge it up and have then all set for their next night's sleep. Since this is a pure sign wave, it is a very good example of what would work for a truck driver. In that industry, this is a game-changer.
@chocolatewithedgarcia10123 жыл бұрын
Tim, try using a DC to DC up-converter, to increase your truck 12 V from alternator to perhaps 60 or 80 volts, getting into the range for solar charging, so can charge up to 700 watts in this unit. Or, use a 12 V to 120 V AC inverter, then use the AC adaptor, but that is much less efficient, but good for charging at 400 W, I think.

How can this video have 119 thumbs downs ? Fools I think that here in Australia the AC200P or the EB150 The above have been upgraded ( AC200Maxx / EB240 ) with no sign of them for sale in Australia……… or any other Bluetti Models for that matter. I would / will go the AC200P all day, everyday in my upcoming van project with a secondary battery / inverter setup in case of an “all in one failure” I am confident of choosing / installing said system after buying and constantly reading Will’s book If you have not grabbed the book, I highly recommend doing so

This is golden. I hope they come out with higher capacity units using the guts of this. I have the 2400 and love it. I REALLY hope they come out with a design with expandable battery packs similar to the Titan. I also like the new squarish form factor over the previous models. The previous models are pretty top-heavy due to the narrow base when traveling and need to be secured.

it would be nice if it can automatically detect charging method and auto adjust to it rather than you have to go to setting to change from solar to car or to shore charging. But this seems like a very good design so far. Can you add a 2nd Bluetti to it to double its capacity?

Excited to see how these things hold up in the wild with people using them daily.

Then the theory being that the system would charge/use solar when available, if no solar available it would use AC as required to keep the batteries charged. In the event that the AC power fails (at night) then the battery would be used to power the computer until the battery dies. Could the system be used like this? Would solar reduce my AC usage?

Ok, so another unrelated comment from me.. But I did watch your video..I bought calb 180ah lifep04 from CHL battery on AliExpress and finally got them after 2 months, I think the pandemic really slowed them down..I was so worried they were gonna be junk but they actually sent me 223 ah calbs!! Of course I am charging and doing cap. test to make sure.. they were great to deal with and they know who you are!! They said they watch your videos!

Would you like to test some European devices? Also a Oscilloscope would be nice with your reviews to show how clean the sine wave is. This is very important for real AC Devices.
@tkermi4 жыл бұрын
Yeah measuring the AC output THD and showing the wave form would be so great! There are scopes with built in THD measure function for that. I guess that a single ended scope would do so no need for differentia scope.

Do you think you could run a regular sized refrigerator with this thing for a day or two as backup in a power outage?
@Madsope4 жыл бұрын
This depends of course on your definition of a normal fridge. If you have a double door fridge with freezer compartment and ice maker in Death Valley it will be tricky. When looking just at the battery capacity (assuming no solar panels), I think you can power a fridge for a day. It's best to lookup the (peak) consumption of your fridge on the label.
@AlexOvechkinSucks4 жыл бұрын
My fridge consumes about 1kW / day, so about 1 day, 8 hours with this thing based on my averages. You lose efficiency when going from DC to AC through the inverter. Ymmv

Now that I understand the basics of electrical systems thanks to Will, Bob, and others, I might go with this new Bluetti 200p, 4 panel Vanlife system. The fact you can charge these units up with the panels (DC) & from an Outlet (AC) at the same time!? (Light poles in random parking lots occasionally have a working outlet). 1+Kilowatts In less than 3 hrs is a game changer. And 3500+ cycles? Or the new Jackery with 1000' ish Cycles, quieter fan, highest level gear quality? (Jackery sponsors a lot of up & coming creators which is very cool). Any of these unit (kits) at $2500 or less is a great investment for Vanlifer's, Retirees, RV'ers, really. Still, I want to tinker, build my own banks of cells. Balance them. Make my own batteries, etc. Get a Soldering kit, etc.

Can you "over solar" this without tripping or damaging anything? I might have access to 3 hanwa 310w panels 39.75v VOC. This would be closer to max power more of the day.

Hi Will. Amazing review wow I learned so much I’m new to these solar generators. Would this unit be a canadate to connect to your home system to power the home for a short time lets say over night. I have central air, Refrigerator and some lights. Just to get through some power outages. Considering this as an emergency system for my home. But also to keep power surges from not interrupting my work flow which has become more regular. Thanks 🙏

Joshua' Madread Yeah, it all depends on peak and constant loads. Expandability (and therefor usability) are part of the equation for me too. It may also depend on the US relationship with China when it comes to shipment dates. Not trying to be a nay sayer; but it should come into the thought process for anyone that is buying from China... there may come a day soon where all Chinese goods purchases are no longer viable.

Very factual and thorough reviews!!! 100% trust and confidence with your recommendation but apparently the model AC200 2000W Inverter 1700WH is no longer available in the market. I really need a power supply station/generator to run an Evenflo oxygen concentrator in case of power shortage. I have seen your review on the latest model (AC200P) and there are many concerns that needed to be addressed. No idea what to buy at this point. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Kudos!

I am planing in buy de Bluett iAC200 but I like to know, which portable solar panel you think is best for it ?
@josilver4 жыл бұрын
Same question! I'm having trouble learning if most foldable solar panels allow you to connect in series. My understanding is that most portable panels are 12v and the AC200 solar input is 35-150v, so if you're using 12v panels, you'd have to have a minimum of three panels in series to get above 35v which is more than I planned on. I haven't really found many portable folding panels outputting more than 12v or that clearly state you an connect in series. If anyone can clear this up for or can recommend some folding panels for the AC200, I'd really appreciate it!
@kp57784 жыл бұрын
@@josilver you need to look at the open-circuit voltage of the panel and not just the base voltage. Although, most 160 watt panels only have an open circuit of 22 to 25 volts. So you would need two of these wired in to charge the stupid thing. Seems ridiculous when you can actually charge it via your car's 12 volt cigarette lighter

Just checked their website and it is says it's availble for preorder now with a 45% discount. I have a Jeep for overlanding and it's hard to carry 700W of solar power with me. I usally stop overnight, get up and drive all day to the next campsite. The only time I have to charge is while I'm driving unless I decide to stay in one place for an extra day. This looks pretty good since I only have a refrigerator, laptop, phone,etc. I may want to run a crock pot or coffee maker from time to time.

I hate that people call these "generators" they don't generate anything, they store power and convert it. They use that term to dumb down the conversation about them so Jim Bob who only understands gas generators has an idea what it does.
