@LeeMims4 жыл бұрын
The overhead of the DC makes the unit only 20% more runtime on DC than a Jackery E1000, at 3x the weight. That's a big tax for my primary use, 12v Fridge. Honestly, I only have 200W of solar and am just a weekend warrior, but one or two new features doesn't obsolete other units if they fill different needs. FYI I was sold on the EB140 before I went E1000, I couldn't believe it myself, but 22lbs works for my wife to lift, and fits in the space we need, but this is an impressive unit and I hope Bluetti continues to improve.

The Jackery 1000 is 35 lbs lighter, that's a plus. This Bluetti is definitely next level. It would power my coffee roaster...
@theoldgoat45254 жыл бұрын
@@1bsbsbsbs Yes, the weight is the biggest downer, and since solar charging requires 30v minimum it would require a second panel in series, but I would probably want that anyway, for such a large unit. Was thinking about getting one anyway for my Jackery 1000.

Strictly speaking, the chart shown indicated that having the DC circuitry on added about 4-4.5W on top of the usual "standby" consumption of about 10W. The higher standby consumption is one of the downsides of having all the monitoring circuitry, etc. But given the large capacity and good recharge speed, not too bad.

I'd like to test your unit powering my electrical devices in my apt? With 2 ac's, a fan, 3 TV's kitchen appliances, shampooed, vacuum cleaner and ceiling, florescent bulb and lamp lighting. Would it handle that configuration using a industrial extension cord? Could it be connected to a fuse box to power outlets in an apartment? What could be used to connect electrical outlets to the generator via the fusebox? I mean using the generator as the power source cutting off the juice from the grid and the generator being the substitute for the grid powering the outlets without using an extension code? 3474587600

Rhoni Winston well first of all you can’t power all that crap with this little box at once. Power is simple math. Sounds like you’re more on meth. If you’re talking about using something like this temporarily during some sort of event you would use it just like a generator you would find a way to connect it into your fuse box disconnect your fuse panel from the city feed so you don’t electrocute anybody outside of your building or apartment when you run your generator or power box battery thingy but with this you could only run one or two of those items at a time you would still have to manually choose what you get to run and you’re not gonna get to run those items near as long because they’re going to suck way more power then something you’re using in your car or RV or van come on now start thinking about how this works it’s just math not meth.

Best solution for the lack of QuickCharge port is to use a multi-port QuickCharge car adapter. I have a DIY 1.2KWH solar generator and I loaded up the panel with five 12V "cigarette lighter" power points rather than dedicated USB ports (I did include one - WITH QuickCharge...). Gives me more flexibility and upgradeability. But this solution also highlights a shortcoming of the AC200 - not enough 12V "cigarette lighter" power points. Lots of camping gear - from fans to lights - comes with a cigarette lighter adapter plug.

OK, OK you convinced me, I'll buy it....GRIN. You knew I was waiting breathlessly for this to come out. It was even better than I had hoped (other than the weight). Of course my Bluetti 1500 is not all that light itself. I can use it to power my phones, tablets, what not. Question, how is the speed of charging on the wireless chargers on top of the unit? Of course it doesn't matter really as I already bought it. May be a good question to answer when you get the newer one to test down the road. I had trouble with my credit card for some reason and fell from contributor 98 on the Early Bird (not super early bird) down to 105 by the time I got it straightened out (a matter of minutes). By the time I got it going we had passed over $1M to enable the first stretch goal of the car charger cable and it's only been live for a little over 4 hours. You are right, this sucker is going to sell out in a matter of hours if not 3-4 days.

THANKYOU for responding I appreciate that very much That’s fantastic you guys all touch base on these amazing pieces of technology I never thought we’d all see outside the military but secrets get out and ideas run wild These solar generators are already generations ahead as the military has a system that somehow charges by lack of photons at night I dont know how classified it is if it is at all But think of how a heat pump works or a thermal core heater that is drilled a grand into the earth and uses the earths temp differentiation to both heat and cool homes In that sense the process to produce electric current can be achieved by solar sunlit power as it can also be equally or supposedly surpassing it by a reverse process of going dark I can only see that happening from the sun setting til it’s deduced into all darkness to create a polar reversal and produce current but once in constant state of darkness how the hell does lacking photons or what exists within the dark that produces endless juice where as I was told these generators are basically just buried into the elites bunkers as well as Trumps and our military And basically you can easily create darkness anywhere anytime But the trillion dollar literal industry they wont reveal is parallel with say COLD FUSION These two endless free power no moving parts gifts from GOD due exist with one most certainly for sure being the DARK PHOTON GENERATORS somehow the polar opposite of a daytime or lit photon albeit a darkening and dark photon that is always theoretically in motion as it wants to ignite It’s at a constant battle with itself to illuminate as all photons come alive within the suns rays In this sense it begins to somewhat turn on the proverbial lights all pun intended It may also be total nonsense but if you and Will are the guys to pull it off you must cut me in on a percentage Have a great Fourth of July 🇺🇸 brother

Its possible the screen on these devices could get damaged by accident if struct by an object. So a plexiglass insert or coverdoor would be nice , or make one. As for the 12v car port, I think those are fuse limited at 10A for safety due to thin consumer device wires , hence can only supply 120w but thats usually enough.

With all the concern about "clean" power running sesitive devices, including a fridge, I am curious of your statement around 26:00. Will this unit accept "dirty" power from a backup gas generator and, since the inverter does not bypass, clean it through the internals and make "clean" power for ones devices? And of course depending on the output of the generator and the draw of the devices charge the batteries as well?
@HOBOTECH4 жыл бұрын
The power brick this comes with will "filter" dirty power so you "should" be able to charge it with a modified sine inverter or a low end non-inverter gas generator. The power coming from the AC200 will always be clean.

Greetings HOBO, Just ordered the 200p and I already thanks to you own the 150 Bluetti. You have said in all your videos that you can not link 2 etti's together. Is it not possible to use the 25amp portion of the 200p and feed a cable to the 8mm barrel on the 150? Usually 12v can hit 16v which is what the 150 needs to feed it or does the regulator not just keep it up to 12.3 but also down from 16v? I have a 2 panel series array running 96.4 Voc @ 9.86amp and believe I could easily feed both with that much solar even with that heavy DC overhead on the 200p. I was running the 150 on just one of these panels for 2 years now and never achieved more than 350watts with it. Help me OB1 your my only hope, I don't want to build 2 arrays. On another note. Is that a giant T-rex arms logo on the back of the rig?

about to purchase but watched the promotional video , said powers off if less than 50 watts being used after 4 hours ? , I use my older 1500 in my campervan with a mobile compressor fridge/freezer , it uses only 43 watts and zero when temp is reached , so if I use this new AC200 it means my freezer will defrost overnight , can the power saving option be disabled ? any way you could check if it does power down on low use then it is useless to me. thanks for any help or info

Yes. I mentioned that Eco mode can be disabled.

@HOBOTECH Thanks for all that you do! I went ahead and bought the 2400.. it works.. but they lost the first one they tried to send me. They told me that for the mistake, they would give me an extra year's warranty. Sound good, right? Well, they have yet to follow up with that. When they do, I'll update my review of their product. I have to be honest here tho.. I'm kinda pissed that I didn't know the AC was coming out (at all) ! Nobody's fault but my own, I suppose, but still :( I may choose to buy the AC after the production models come out, and sell the 2400 on Ebay.. ha ha!

Nice review. I'm setting up for a van conversion. You said solar up to 700 watts input from solar. Great, roof panels. You said cigarette lighter charging while driving. Can you do both while driving? I didn't see multiple input charging ports. 25 amp DC output. How would you connect the unit to a DC fuse box. Thanks

I have a question about your efficiency test. For the DC test, you’re pulling about 100w and the AC test you’re pulling over 300w. If both DC and AC have an equal idle power draw, wouldn’t it skew them results to show that AC is more efficient since it’s running for less hours and would have less wasted idle power consumption?
@HOBOTECH4 жыл бұрын
Two different circuits, two different types of conversions. The DC out is regulated DC to DC conversion where the inverter is DC to AC conversion. The latter always has a loss of 10%-20% typical where the DC varies significantly. Very few will buy this and run a 100w AC load so I use typically around 0.2C rate to test that. DC loads are always going to be lower draw.

I like this model. So I'll assume it'll run my keurig coffee machine ? it uses 1500 watts peak. Thanks. Enjoyed the video.

Updated suggestion for name for heat gun: A good, science, professor-like nickname would be "Oppe" after Robert Oppenheimer would said "Now I am become death, the destroyer of [SOLAR GENERATORS]". The nickname would have a science "mystique."Then you would have Odin and Oppe.

Love your videos thanks, Can you charge the Bluetti ac200 with solar panels at the same time you are using power? Thanks

Absolutely. I did state it has pass through charging.

Hobo I pulled the trigger on the unit. First time that I have purchased something like this. So grateful for your videos. Novice at this so what do you recommend I get for solar panels? Thanks a ton for your help and subscribe for your channel. Thanks again

I suggest getting the Bluetti ones as part of the bundle. Otherwise, the BougeRV ones on sale right now.

What if you live in a country that has 220 volts and plug types C/E? How can we use it?
@HOBOTECH4 жыл бұрын
You buy a 220v for your country.

@@HOBOTECH OK thanks. Can we buy in bulk? I'm also looking into buying smaller portable solar generator up to 100-200 watts. Most of the best ones are made in America. Should I buy a step up transformer? Or do you have a better idea?

Professor Hobotech, For the auto charging cable, it looks like it is using the PV Solar port. From the Indiegogo page it indicates that when configured for auto charging it switched to input specs of (12V-30V / 8.2A), if it uses the solar PV port, do you think the AC200 can support trickle charging from a single solar panel when configured for auto 12V charging so you don't have to set up two panels to meet the 35V min input for PV charging? Just wondering if it bypass the solar charge controller.
@HOBOTECH4 жыл бұрын
It won't work because the input accepts 12v-16v then nothing from 16v-22v before it kicks back in to 22v-28v (roughly). You have to use two solar panels in series.

One other quick question on a different matter sir, About ready to insulate raised fiberglass roof of my 04 Savana and have 1/2” and 1” sheets of RMax polyiso. My head just touches ceiling so will there be a noticeable difference using 1” or just use 1/2” and should foil face up or down?

Cancelled my R600 Pro pre-order a few days ago in anticipation of this. 600W inverter vs 2000W inverter at this price point is a no-brainer.

One complaint that's not limited to just this is the lack of extra 12v outputs in solar generators like these... Many typical RV/nomad QoL devices use 12v plugs and it would be nice to not have to plug in an ugly dongle

Should I get the Bluetti EB 150 or should I wait for the AC 200? I need to power a 12V fridge/freezer (24/7). And charge phone, laptop, camera. @HOBOTECH
