Is there any risk of the engine timing being out by removing the pulley?

There is no risk, the timing chain is at the back, you just have to be careful not to rotate the engine in the opposite direction of rotation, because if the chain is loose it can jump.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you, it depends on the hardness of the screw, if the screws are old somewhere around 70-80 NM, if they are new, I can't tell you for sure and I don't want you to have problems because of my advice.
