Okay, okay I know it's late. I had to take a trip to the UK so I'm a week behind. But you can expect the videos to pick up big time very soon. I have a video ready for the second channel so head over and sub with the bell on! The name of the channel is going to change so don't get confused. I'm excited to have two channels going, anything none car-related will be going on the second channel. The machine shop I am using is pretty busy, so I might restore some of the other parts in the meantime to keep the videos coming. Enjoy!

That also happens when you don't put oil onto the o-rings on the oil filters, but that's mostly on trucks and other big engines. Most people, as you say, uses tools to tighten the oil filters on cars for some reason.

Even with just hand-tightening filters onto these engines, i've found you still need tools to remove- am guessing heat from nearby manifold causes this.

You did some unbolt's really wrongly , for example the engine head you need to start unbolting from the edges with a chris cross pattern middle ones should be last bolts you do On UNBOLTING , when you going to tighten them again its the opposite , you start from the middle and then head towards the edges with a chris cross pattern ,the way you did it will cause warps to the engine head , if you are lucky and it wont warp a lot it can be fixed by machining but if it has a lot of warp you wont be able to use

Just a tip @10:16, get yourself a power bar to loosen head bolts. A ratchet is not designed to loosen bolts torqued to that spec & will eventually fail. Same for the mains & big ends... It will also reduce the stress on your arms, wrists etc... If there is 1 thing I hate with my mechanical work, its to battle. Good work so far
@williamfindspeople43415 жыл бұрын

I rebuilt a Chevrolet Truck engine once, with my bother-in-law. When we put it back together, there were two bolts left over that we couldn't account for where they went. It drove us crazy. The engine ran fine and we tossed them into a jar hoping we'd figure it out later. When I sold the truck a few years later, I passed along the two bolts with it.
