I am gobsmacked at how slow the robots work. I would have thought their motions would be at least quadruple the speed we have seen in this video. I guess their saving grace is they don't take breaks and work 24/7 without complaint. Now I can see why the BMW EVs are nearly twice the price of a Tesla or Mach-E, their production costs are through the roof. Thanks for this video. A ready educational experience.

This video makes me want to dose off! Teslas videos make me want to buy one of their cars because they are constantly informing us about the new tech of the car and all the innovations! It makes you want get one and be involved! BMW had a chance to turn this video into a awesome long commercial and talk to us but they chose not!

@@Rimrock300 Yeah! Your right! Just like Elon has said - Hopefully the EV market will dominate fully over the internal combustion engine and be diversified by many EV sellers. However Tesla has consistently said they are a technology company. They know how to keep us involved. With information and constant interaction with cars that update all the time. We all love our new cell phones with new features and new computers with new features. I think Tesla is trying to do the same!

Perfect example of how slow automobiles are actually manufactured. Tesla’s First Principles mentality took a fresh look the current manufacturing methods and came up with front and rear aluminum castings and a structural battery pack. I predict legacy auto companies will soon follow.

The iX is a car that starts at 100.000,- euros, so there is no need to build it the fast way. Tesla had some great ideas but is not on par with the quality. Btw: i assume that most of the videos are taken on the pre production phase.

I’ve had low-speed impacts in my i3. All that happened was the bumper needed to be snapped back into place. Not even a mark was visible on the bumper. Compare that to a 71 Olds Cutlass that ended up with a big dent in the shiny chrome bumper.

German auto engineering isn’t all you might think it is! In the 70/80’s I saw a British documentary (World in Action (I think)) which pointed out that only around 27% of VW cars manufactured by the day shift passed QC, the rest were corrected by the night shifts! The difference between the perception of British and German cars in those days is that the British admitted that their car industry was poor, whereas the Germans kept a lid on it!
