The original paint had turned into chalk from sitting in the Florida sun all these years. It had to be repainted.

I’m looking to get my first bike and I love how this one looks, there’s one for sale near me for 4k. I know 740cc is a lot to start off with, but do you think it would be manageable to learn on?

Yes, I think these bikes have enough power so that you can grow into them but they do not have so much torque that it would be hard for a beginner to learn on.

I’ve ridden the bike on trips of 200 miles+ in one day. The seat could definitely use more padding but overall it’s not bad.

@@BayCityRestorations cool, thanks. I’ve contacted them asking about mounts and stuff like that. And they told me they can make a 2cm thicker padding if I need to, but I’m not sure if it’s gonna look as nice. Appreciate you sharing your builds. Your k100 (blue tank) actually inspired me to make my own build, and I couldn’t resist to buy one, when I saw a k1100for sell)

Did you keep the stock k75 forks? How were you able to lower the bars using the stock forks if so.

Yes they are the original forks. Clip on bars linked in the description will fit right on the k75 forks.

I wouldn’t use the word comfort. It is tolerable but for longer rides it wasn’t the best.

Yes, that is correct. The stock forks are 41mm so that is the size clip on I went with.

Where did you get the cross member brace for the seat?

I made it myself out of a flat piece of steel. You can find it at most hardware stores and then just use a bench vise and hammer to bend it in to the shape you need.

Thanks they are kenda challenger tires. They are the stock K75 sizes but I do not remember what that is off the top of my head.
