Great video, but i have another question, is the engine harness from e46 m54 engine the same as e39 m54, because i need to change mine ( 530i), and all i could find was from couple e46's m54b25/m54b30

Hi dear, i want to ask about combining two bmw engines, used 528 bmw 1997 motor with parts of a 525 1991.the car is 525 1991.we are having a problem of idling on 1.5 rpm. What is the cause of that??

Thanks for the video! Quick question: I just replaced the engine in my 2001 e46 and I have one of the plugs from the harness that I cant find where it goes. Can you suggest where I can get a diagram that labels them so I can get this car back on the road? Thanks

On the side of the engine kinda middle area from top by passenger wheel my engine has no screws I believe the oil is just comin out any idea what goes there I have a video

@@bimmermerchant just described its back of engine bay kinda apart of gasket is loose so it leaks right onto exhaust pipe nothing I can do thanks tho

Your videos are very informative man! I have a question, I own a 04' e46 Sulev 325ci (m56). My motor is bad (bent valves) and I have a low mileage m54b30 that I want to swap into it. How difficult is such swap? What advice can you give? Thanks in advance!

rocky ace We wouldn't be able to provide much advise since we've never swapped an M54 to an M56 or for that regards heard of someone else doing it. We are sure its possible but would be alot of work. We recommend you find a good M56 and replace it.
