HardCoreMore That would ruin the desired character of the car. A big, lazy V12 is exactly what they were going for. It's not supposed to be violently quick. It's supposed to be calm and VERY smooth while you ride the massive wave of torque. It should never feel like it's in a hurry. Mercedes did the same with their S600. It had a big ol' twin turbo V12 that "only" made around 500 HP, but the smooth, effortless way it accelerated was the perfect match for the type of car they were trying to make. It's a very Rolls Royce-esque approach to car making.

Porsche : when they gave their 918 to Chris harris to compare it with la Ferrari and the P1 they did not send any crow with it unlike the other two cars , in the Panamera case they claimed a 3.8 sec 0-60 and did it in a 3.5 sec and they didnt even bother to give the Panamera turbo S for this comparison.. i love their confidence in their products 👍🏻👍🏻

Just because it is a V12 does not make it better in any way. It's just a heavy and unefficient engine in a big sedan. If it was a sportscar it would be exciting, but in a luxury car it's just meh.

I dont want to sound like a fanboy but you guys crippled the 760 somehow when carwow used that car in 2 test both times it did low 11 sec 1/4mile i think 11.2 or .3 and here it does 12.1.....ya somethings off boys i love the porsvhe and obv would take that any day over the 7 but i call bs on this test

Yeah I think they’d have been more neck and neck. The BMW is around 3.6 to 60mph which is what they quote for the Porsche, 62mph it’s 3.7 sec. They should have been level pegging really.

Who Cares The e63 is not the fastest sedan. Yes it is quicker than a Panamera turbo but porsche has also got the Panamera Turbo S with 680 hp and this will destroy the e 63 S

i just realized a massive difference in the 1/4 mile time for the bmw.. you guys tested it at 12.1 and carwow tested it at 11.3 it got me thinking what could have made such a massive difference ..

I am an owner of the current m760 (2017) and been to the drag stripe several time. I can tell you that carwow’s timing is biased. The best I can do with mine for quarter mile is 11.5 (almost empty tank), average around 11.7, traps a little bit above 120 (123 at most) But then again, 12.1 for the m760 is painfully slow as well, just not as fast as 11.3

They should have used the Panamera Turbo S Executive model. It has 6" more leg room in the back, and has a 6" increase in the wheelbase over the sedan. The back seat is comparable to the 760iL's.

Like the Rolls, the M760s engine isn't tuned for top speed runs but rather to pull it's own wait and around so its understandable that the Panamera won. Porsche always do more with fewer horsepowers

These are two different cars. The one is a chauffeurs car (BMW) and the other one you want to drive yourself (Porsche) You see it on 08:36 and 09:33 , there is no room on the backseat of the Porsche. The right comparsion would be an M5.

Those are showroom cars that are later handed over to press. They dont specc it, factory makes all versions of 7 series and send them in various saloons for display.

Errm, hate to be the one to point out that both the 2001 M3 GTR and 2017 M4 GTS are both stated as 3.6s.. so the statement about it being the fastest is not strictly correct. However, this is absolutely beautiful car and for it to even come near to the so called "track" offerings.. in my opinion.. unbelievable!

60 happens in 3.1 sec in California there was a bmw dealer that sent a few cars to see if the cars where good enough to be sold and the m760li did 3,1 , BMW M5 2013 3,8 AND the x5m 3,6 sec in California tested
