Something to consider on my new motor I've just purchased, along with a load of other little minor jobs. Don't seem to have much room but I have got those small hands and wrists that can get everywhere. Good video Dean.

Hi, thanks a lot for the video! I have a question about the dynamometric wrench, i dont have one. Do you think i should get this job done in the garage who has that tool? Or is it ok to tighten that bolt by hand until we fill thats is enough?

Hey BMW Doctor, how do you change the AC eleasti-belt with out the special BMW tool on an E60 535D M57 engine. Is it possible?
@BMWDoctor Жыл бұрын
Special tool ? I have done them many times with no special tools
@SamanthaGreen-nt3rw Жыл бұрын
@@BMWDoctor According to ISTA you need a tool to stretch the belt from the AC pulley on to the crankshaft pulley

Recently subscribed to your informative channel. How does one ask a question that others can't seem to cure. I am a 47yr retired auto/truck mechanic and the fact that my 2015 428i Grand coupe sport N20 will on occasion have the water pump stay on and run down the battery so far that charging or jumping it is the only solution. I just recently had this occurrence twice. Any help in this area or how to call/text would be greatly appreciated..

Hello, i have changed my Belt and tensioner and the other pulley, but after 10.000km saw i have rubber dust on the engine block, should i be concerned or its normal?
@BMWDoctor2 жыл бұрын
Yikes what kind of dust ? If it’s black dust that means your belt is shredding itself which means something ain’t right 😬 could be your tensioner way too tight or the belt is not on properly or a pulley is not spinning correctly.

@@BMWDoctor well yes, black, but it stoped at some point, will have to clean it and see
