I had that one, is good for stock boost levels, but for more boost, it simple fails, mine had been melted.. the plastic piece, simple did go for GFB+ all metal...

Kinda late comment grant but I keep coming back to this video deciding if I should get this. Do you think this would work with the stock turbo at all? I’m about to stage 2 my 2012 as a Christmas gift to myself and I’m debating getting this since I love the flutter and I’ll be down there anyway with the new downpipe n chargepipe.

This will fit the stock turbo, however you will need to create an adapter harness.

I don’t know if the stock turbo pushes enough psi for a huge difference. It would probably be just for sound.

Yeah, full on surge is bad, but fluttering does not equal bad surge. This is actually an OEM stock Diverter valve.

This part was provided by FrankenTurbo as part of the turbo upgrade kit. If you would like to install the M2 Diverter valve you will just want to search for the part and you will need to create a wire harness.

Let us know how it holds up. Bc I'm running GF+ since 2019. It was the first mod I installed before anything else. I run up to 18psi of boost on stock n55 twin scroll.

Hey Grant! Hope all is well, I noticed you have the exact same ferrada wheels. I ended up getting mine after hitting a pretty bad pothole. I have been getting some vibrations I still can't figure out on a BMW F06. Any issues with these wheels? I'm just still trouble shooting and it's been a nightmare. Any input is much appreciated.

I have a current vibration, but I think I need to have them road forced balanced. Vibration almost left completely by just rotating the wheels side to side.

@JohnsonMotorsports I've had mine balanced twice with no luck. Going to try rotating sides and see if that does anything. I am thinking I may have a bent wheel hub as I've noticed that side imparticular back right wheel bolts are loosening on long trips. No others are doing that and seems to be the corner causing vibrations.

I’m thinking that I may have another that’s bent or it’s a tire issue. I was feeling a major vibration under my feet from 75-90 mph. After I swapped the 2 front wheels, the vibration is barely noticeable.

Im on the same boat. I have esr wheels 19inch even i get balanced, it kinda vibrate still. I got my tie rod ready to install tmr and will see if it was tie rod.

Also, verify the center hub size as well. I’ve seen center hubs on some aftermarket wheels that are slightly oversized causing vibration without hub centric rings.

@anthonymullings Yeah, it should bolt right up. You will need a harness adapter though.

Yeah, it would be much easier to film with a lift. Not sure which is better. The M2 functions as a OEM part and the TurboSmart functions more as a blow off valve. I’ve heard some M2 guys actually upgrade to the Turbo Smart because it is rated for more boost. Some claim the TurboSmart is more of a gimmick, because of the blow off sound. I have a TurboSmart that I was running on my stock turbo as well and plan to give it a shot too.

you have to order the f87 m2 dv plug and the corresponding pins. just cut the harness and fit the pins, push them into the plug housing and there you go. just go to the bmw dealer, they should be able to order the right parts. so did i

@@Nickhan388 No, the link I provided is to a M2 Diverter valve. I received mine from FrankenTurbo with the harness adapter. They don’t offer the product to the public. You would need to build your own harness, but that should be pretty simple.
