BNSF Crossing the Cornbelt, Vol. 2

We had such a wonderful time documenting this line, we wanted to do it again! In this video, C. Vision revisits the Marshall Subdivision, this time starting in Sioux City, Iowa, and then northward to Willmar, Minnesota. New trains, including their symbols, are seen traversing the main line through the cornfields of Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota. New merger paint schemes, along with the traditional colors are seen pulling many types of freights. A bonus segment of the tape takes us over the Wayzata Sub to Minneapolis and a glimpse of Northtown Yard! If you crave variety in BNSF railroading "Midwest Style", both volumes are a must for your collection!

Amazing video! I live close to this line and I miss seeing the mix of power.. you never knew what to expect back in these days.. Sadly these days they no longer run any taconite on this route, not since the steel mills in Geneva closed down. Though if you're lucky, you can still find some spilled pellets in the ballast!

Thank you Brandon! I will never forget my experiences when I was out shooting this video. It’s just like you said. You never knew what you would find. And I think that video shows it. Both volumes, actually. Those Geneva taconite trains were always a treat on the Marshall Sub. Thank you for watching and sharing. Just out of curiosity, where do you live?

@@CVisionProductions1 I live within Pipestone county itself. So I still frequent visit the line in Pipestone. Used to spend from sun up to sun down Railfanning with my grandfather Ken. We'd travel as far north as Marshall, over to Garretson, and even down to Sioux City from time to time. Once in a blue moon we'd head all the way up to Willmar too. Never forget one specific day when Ken knew all the crews yet, we'd get rides from time to time before the FRA cracked down on that kind of stuff. We ended up on a unit grain headed south, got on in Marshall and traveled all the way to Hills. Certainly a fun ride I'll never forget!
