Nothing great about them. They always downgraded Indian food in the show unlike the new judges who love and embrace Indian & Asian food.

@@kala5766 Lol, Gary alone knows more about Indian food that all three 3 current judges combined. The Indian food in the earlier seasons of Masterchef was pathetic and deserved to be called out. Gobhi Pakoda ffs!

@kala5766 Where have you seen them downgrading Indian foods...They are the reason that The Masterchef series still has some credit even though most of the time they do follow a format...they still are watchable ,interesting and one gets to know about so many techniques about food,how the preparation differs from region to region and what being a Masterchef is all about.Yes tropes exist,lines are scripted n prizes are not what they seem...also most have a sad back story . Even after all of that n recently the news surrounding George n his staff(unpaid dues)it is still one of the best cooking competitions and the same format under Masterchef is thriving in other countries like ours ..Whatever the scripted stuff these judges have an enthusiastic approach towards food ,are experts themselves especially Gary and George and they present food in the most appealing ways. Nowadays I see people doing the same old things -eat tandoori food and praise it sky high ,highlighting the fact that they love every bite they eat...which is weird because no one's palate is the same and Indian food takes time to assimilate and even like.The Nidhi episode was highlighted because it was the beginning of an Indian(staying in a totally different country ironically)being highlighted n praised for her food scripted or not because that was the start of the let's get on the liking of everything Indian trend...Our Indian Masterchef judges are awesome but even they will admit to taking cues from these distinguished gentlemen.Oh by the way good or bad I give a like to most people trying out Indian food because if that's the easiest way for people to try and know about it why not.

8:48 That's not entirely true actually. The apparent similarity in culture between South/South-Eastern India and Australasia has deep history. Researches on Australoid migration and Proto-Dravidian history is considered controversial today, thanks to mindless Hindu nationalism. In short, people from Southern fringes of subcontinent and Australasians do have a lot in common and due to valid reasons.
@Kalki0025
@Kalki0025 11 ай бұрын
Aryans came from Central Asia and Siberia. Dravidians came from Iran, specifically from proto-Iranian farmers. Old Tamil exhibits significant similarities with the Sumerian language. Migration from India to Australia occurred before the arrival of Aryans and Dravidians in India. These people are likely closely related to the Irula tribe, the Santhal tribe, and possibly even the Andamanese tribe. Additionally, there is evidence of migration from India to Europe more than 50,000 years ago.

@@Kalki0025 Agreed, but the extent is far more in the South. In addition to genetic, there are cultural similarities as well between tribal South Indian and Australasian cultures. For examples, many tribes in South use what's called a "boomerang" by Australian aborigines. Even the dog dingo, that's found in Papua/Australia has similarities to dogs from South India, suggesting ancient human migrations
