Lol Just a little sneak peek in 1987. Bobby's "R&B bad boy image" was just rounding into shape. People didn't know what to do here. LOL Just a year after this (1988) "Don't Be Cruel" dropped. "The Bad Boy Bobby image" had really came into shape and formed then. He took off like a rocket.

Just to remind people. The crowd reaction was not because of the New Edition breakup. Boston at that time didn't understand or appreciate the genre. There was an old interview with two white ladies where they were asked about the show and one said "I mean, all he said was he wants a girlfriend, we get it". Yet the Beatles can sing about a Yellow Submarine and it hits Top 100.

I've always said this about Bobby Brown, he was never a great vocalist but he brings a lot of energy into his performances. He knows how to put on a show which is his biggest strength. With that said, he was and still is better than the crap that's out today.
